Hi guys and gals –
This has probably been asked before but here we go again.
I have a mod that only goes down to 7 watts and does not have VV. Am I on the right track when I think that I should save this mod for dual coil tanks and run my single coil tanks on the itaste VV VW MVP because I can get it as low as 6 watts or 3.2 volts? – I have a ton of kanger 2.2ohm single coils, and a bunch of dual coil kanger coils at 2.0 ohm and 1.5 ohm.
Am I correct in thinking that the VV mod at 7 watts will deliver 3.5 watts per coil on the dual coils or 7 watts to a single coil making 4 volts at the coil which might be just a bit too much for the single coils but just fine and dandy for the dual coils up about 10 watts?? – or am I way off base..
Thanks
JJK

I almost never go below 8 watts on single coils. So 7 IME will probably be fine even for a single coil. Dampmaskin is correct you halve the wattage in a dual coil. On voltage you could get away with 4 volts on a 1.8 up single coil if the wick system will support it. The PT type BCC an BDCs' should not have a problem on a good head.

Most people like at least 7 watts on a single coil clearo. 6 is a bit low for most. OTOH, 7 watts split between 2 coils is not so good.

IMO both your devices will do well for single coil attys. Which one is better for dual coils depends more on which one can supply more power.

Thanks Guys. I guess I can run them both on both mods. I just figured I would want the single coils below 7 watts because when I run my ce5s and vivi nova mini's on my ego VV batteries above 4 volts at 2 to 2.4 ohms they start to taste burnt. I think that comes out to 6 watts.
anyway - I'm running my single coil kanger 2.2ohm at 7.5 watts right now and its good - not burnt.
Just brought the PT2 (single coils only) back to life with the aerotank base - it makes it a usable tank for the first time - Thanks again!

That's the 134 I bet.

Yep it definitely made with dual coil in mind; on the other hand I'm sure some single coil / pg/vg ratios would work well; maybe 3 ohm coil with high pg liquid? dunno.

7 watts on a dual coil would be 3.5 watts per coil yes
