So I'm in the process of trading for a Nimbus clone. This will be my first rebuildable anything, and as I saw them on sale I grabbed a couple of premade micro coils and pre boiled cotton. Thing is, everywhere I look online I see instructions for dual coils for the Nimbus, rather then a single coil. I don't want to do a dual coil as the only devices I have are MVP 2's. They won't fire anything that is too low in resistance, and two of the microcoiks I bought together would make the resistance too low. Can anyone direct me to pics or videos of a single micro coil build on a Nimbus? Is it even possible? If not, I'll rebuild a couple of my husbands Mini Protanks with the micro coils I bought and stop being lazy and go get some kanthal to wrap my own.

My bad, thought you were making your own coils.

I'm sure I'll get to building my own eventually. For this first time though, I'll be plenty happy to make a prewrapped coil work first. I wanted a dripper for testing my zamplebox juices before bothering to fill a cartotank with something I didn't like. Such a waste of time and good juice doing that. If i don't like something, I generally bring it to PIF to trade. I don't have a lot of time to practice building though, so I figured buying prewrapped may be the way to go until my situation changes and I have more time. Even if the prewrapped micro coils don't work for the nimbus, hubby hates tossing ANYTHING and he's been collecting burnt out coils for his mini protanks. I'll toss the coils in those with some cotton. They won't go to waste then. I just know that using them for dual coils would bring the resistance down lower then 1 ohm, and not only would it be dangerous if my MVP DID fire it, it likely won't be able to fire it.

The MVP is really great! Good, steady, consistent vapor production, and I haven't run out of power yet. Box shape was something I thought I wouldn't like, but with two kids running around and bumping into every piece of furniture in the house it's become essential that they don't roll. They stay where I put them, which is great. I use cartotanks for the most part, with an occasional Aspire BDC ETS. My fav tanks so far are IBTanked and my Cirrus vapes cartotanks. The tight fit around the carto is needed, otherwise I have a tendency to pull the tank right off it. Some of the cheaper tanks don't work for me as I have a nasty habit of lifting my device by the topper. I use Smok single coil cartos for the most part. Boge can sometimes give better taste, but that only lasts a couple days and then they die quicker. Smok's last much longer for me, which really cuts down on maintenance time. Usually, the only thing I need to do is top off the tank at the end of the day. No dry burning, no cleaning unless I'm changing flavors, great, consistent vape, no rebuilding.

I know this isn't your question, but your mvp will fire sub ohm coils, it will just regulate the power to keep within it's amp limits. Kind of a handy feature. I don't really build many sub ohms, but I do have a couple of sub ohm drippers. I like to build with the vv/v3 or the mvp as I can check ohms, heat, and compress the coils without having to take it off. It probably wouldn't be very satisfying to vape with it, as it just drops the power down anyway and would defeat the point. I was pretty shocked the first time it fired, and had to come online to figure out what was going on. lol ;)
