The SI clearos probably won't come apart as easily as the Phoenix. I take the tube off of the Phoenix' to clean them easily. They don't come off the SI clearos nearly as easy for me. I don't even bother with them. I'm climbing on and off tractors and mowers, cutting wood, crawling around weeding or doing things like carpenter work, wrestling aligators and slapping bears around. I'm sticking with a lanyard from now on. That works a lot better for me. Should had it on when that one came apart. Like I said, ain't doin that no mo.

Are you talking about the fluxos or the Phoenix. I can't even get the Phoenix tube off, but the fluxo would break and come apart east

Great thing about using the x2 and the pheonix is that the cones slide over them and provide protection to it so that it would be next to impossible to have them come apart. Are you using the top coil or bottom coil pheonix and having them come apart. I don't see how it could happen with the bottom coil, but if you says it's happened I believe.

I don't either on an X2. However it sure as heck will on a 78. I know that first hand, or first pocket as the case may be. My 78s are still my primary device. Simple, effective and conveinent. I deviated from my normal routine by using Phoenix and got burnt. If it ain't broke......
