I know this isn't exclusive to Vapor4Life but I thought it would be an interesting topic anyway.

I've been having pretty bad acne which I know is really common when you quit smoking. So I was searching the forum here and found a thread about skin changes and some of them where quite positive. Most people noticed the grey tinge they had while smoking is gone. Dark circles under eyes diminished and so forth. While I have developed an acne problem recently I have also noticed my skin is brighter with more of a pink hue. Yeah! Hopefully more to come.

There are several of you on here that have been vaping way longer then me and I'm curious if you have become more radiant since you quit. Before and after pictures would be awesome but of course not necessary. Here in a couple months (hopefully my face will clear up by then) I would be happy to post my before and after.

Yet another positive experience to put up here to keep us going and know that things will just continue to get better. This also might help persuade people who are on the fence to take the leap into e-cig land :p

As the body cleans itself of the toxins we were putting into our bodies, I'd expect that the pores would excrete toxins that would cause some to become clogged and infected. Acne.

Should be a short-term transitory state.

Skin improvement for oily skin is probably due to PG being a hummectant. It dries-up oils in the skin by absorbing them and wicking them away.

I hate to say it but this was one of the main reasons I quit smoking... vanity. I know lots of older women that smoke. My grandma in particular, and their completions are just so bad.

Some other people on that thread said they even had age spots disappear! Something to do with the increased circulation. I just figured the bad complexion issues with smokers was having smoke in your face all the time. I didn't even think about the circulation.

Oh and Adrenalynn - I know it's the toxins leaving. Yuck!! Figure drinking even more water will help a bit. The thing is that our bodies are always getting rid of toxins. Why does it get worse when you quit? From websites I read last night it sounds like smoking actually inhibits the ability for your body to expel crap.

Actually, I have noticed some differences in my skin. My skin has had a return of colour. It just seems brighter now.

However, I have rosacea and the return of circulation hasn't been the best thing for it. >.< I never used to see any bad flushing episodes until recently so now I've got to really examine what is triggering this to avoid it, especially since I can't use any of the rx creams/gels for it. At least I have the experience to keep the general inflammation down and this hasn't seemed to change any. (Note: I have recently found out that the frames of my glasses contain nickel and is/has been causing a rash on my face. So it may be actually the glasses that is causing it and my skin can actually respond how it's supposed to now.)

However, I have noticed after getting some juice spray on my face that I can say that the solution is actually non-irritating. I was suprised since since my skin is very sensitive. (If anyone knows the Baumann skin types I'm a DSPW.)

I have also noticed that my skin, tho it is still very dry, isn't quite as bad as it used to be. I attribute this to the humectant/balancing effects of the PG.

25 years of at least a pack a day. sick a lot, sinus infections, lungs wheezy, bad hack, oh what fun. for the last 5 years there's been 3 hard smokers sharing my house with me.

2 weeks of vaping, stopped getting almost daily low grade headaches from smoke, i can breathe, stopped snoring because my nose is starting to work again. still hacking up the lung butter from all those years, but i am at the point now where i cant even stand the smell of a real smoke. and already paid for my v4l kit in savings from not buying smokes, mints to get the taste out of my mouth, lighters and all the other crap that goes with it. this product is as close to a medical miracle for smokers as there has ever been.

I ended up with acne like a teenager again. Lasted for well over 4 months. I normally use a vg base.

I don't know if everyone's complexion will get better. I have read how smoking does damage the skin. As I understand it the nicotine isn't what damages it it's all the other things in cigarettes. Stands to reason at least your skin won't get anymore damaged that's a pretty good positive. I could just quite nicotine all together and get the same results but then I'd have create more lines in my face. Walking around scowling and wanting to rip off anyone's head you come across is going to create more lines. remember it takes 41 muscles to frown at some one, only one to give then the finger eh maybe that's not the quote, never mind that part

Luckily, I've never experienced acne. The only thing I notice is the skin on my face gets a little dry. I use Creme de la mere (made with seaweed, I get it for free because my father worked at Estee Lauder) every night as a moisturizer. It's amazing stuff. Something that may help is buying Noxema (very inexpensive) and washing your face everynight with warm water, I've been doing it since I was 15. I've had a pimple maybe 5 times. Or perhaps Proactive, I saw it on TV it's only 19.99 for the 3 bottles.

It didn't say in your post if your doing any of those things, so I figured I'd tell you what I do to keep it away =) Keep us posted.
