My daughter and her generous spirit. She and I have been through absolute hell in the last couple of years; divorce, ankle surgery, heart attack, losing our home, broken wrist, swine flu, lime disease, exploded back, living in a house with no kitchen floor, taking care of my mentally ill brother, loss of my job, broken left ankle, broken right ankle, no food, no phone, no lights, oh, all injuries and illnesses are mine, believe it or not. There is a really good reason she is studying to be a nurse...ME! There is sooo much more but that is all my heart can bear to relate this afternoon. For my gratitude: she after all of this and more, has her head on straight, is an honor student, is going to me an amazing nurse, and is content to have a quiet Christmas with a nice dinner, a house that looks festive and peace in our hearts. Not the typical teenager, not by a long shot, she is amazing. At least when its all said and done for me, I will go knowing that I did do something right, I raised an incredible woman.
