Hi guys. Back from camping. @jefsview My last order placed exactly one week ago on a Sunday shipped within 24 Hrs. Monday afternoon actually. It was three day free priority shipping via USPS. Awesome! That said, once picked up last Monday, it took four days for it to leave TN. Then once it got to Portland, OR, where all mail bound for Oregon lands, it bounced around the state for another three days for no particular reason, eventually going back through Portland, then to my town yesterday while I was out of town. Tracking shows it arrived in my town around noon and eleven minutes later was sent out for delivery. (Fishy) then it shows it was delivered at 4:44PM (even fishier) in my mailbox. Anyway, I just got home and my regular mail is in the box but not my Slim's order!!! Aaaaaagggghhhhh!!! God I hate the postal service sometimes! I guess we will see if it shows up tomorrow or if it's lost. I just can't wait to deal with the USPS.. I already filled out the customer service email form which took forever only to get to the end and there is no "send" button. Seriously? %*+|>>[^{%}^^{^*]*+€! Ok, end rant.

Back to Slim's. I enjoyed the Peach tobacco on my trip but it is extremely light on the tobacco so I mixed in some RedBoro which rounded it out to more to my liking. I doubt I'll reorder it as I'm really not a peach vape fan but it's very nice for what it is, and never really changed with steeping.
On a sad note, R.I.P Law Man. It never developed for me and still had an unpleasant waxy plastic taste that I just can't handle. To each their own.

I'm thinking about putting in an order, just for a few of the tobaccos. I still like to have a few in rotation, and the reviews within this thread for the 2 I'm interested in, Blueboro and the Peach Tobacco, have been positive and I'm nearly out of the 2 I currently use at my current nic level.

I will be moving in less than two weeks, so how has their processing/shipping times been?

I can vouch for Blueboro - it is good. I got the red one as well and that's good, too, but quite frankly, I can't even taste the difference.
On the other hand, Westward is bad. Many months ago, when I was still desperately searching for a cigarette-tasting juices, I ordered some Dirty Ashtray juice from whoever it was... Man, that was bad. Slim's Westward is a close second.

So, the blueberry isn't very prominent? That would be disappointing.

So the Peach Tobacco is more peach, while the Blueboro is more tobacco...

I appreciate everyone's comments on shipping and on the flavors.

WELL... I went to the post office and tried to figure out what happened to my shipment. They gave me the coordinates of where it was delivered. about a half mile from my house.. Rather than wait for them to try to figure out what to do about it, I guess I'll do a little door-to-door tonight looking for my juice.
Edit: Shipment found and recovered. Whoohoo!

Pretty quiet here folks..
I have good news, besides the fact I received my mis-delivered / extremely late shipment of ten bottles.. I had to try a few new ones in the dripper but will be steeping the rest and report later.

We have a winner here! (at least "I" think so)
Caramel Pear Black Tea, my own custom request, is really good right out of the mail! It went right into a tank and I'm enjoying it as I type. This is Slim's Black Tea base with 1/2 shot caramel and 1/2 shot pear.
At the risk of tooting my own horn, I think this was exactly the right formula. Slim's Black Tea is good to begin with. Unmistakable black tea flavor. Dry and clean tasting. The caramel smooths it out and the pear makes it pop with a bright fresh pear note. I'm quite pleased and would recommend this mix to anyone who likes lightly sweetened tobacco or tea vapes. It balanced out very well at these ratios.

Also another very good first impression:
Maple Rum Tobacco: I usually don't like maple in a vape because it dominates and becomes cloying immediately. They always taste like those super rich sugared maple soft candies. Not here. The maple is more like a dark caramelized maple and the rum is not at all alcoholic. It's just a deep aged rum note with an oaky finish. This is a very dark colored juice. I'd describe the overall flavor as dark, rich, smooth rum tobacco blend, with the tobacco up front and quite bold. More of a cigar blend, and not particularly sweet. I'm really enjoying this. Gonna vape a tank of it then let the rest of the bottle steep and see just how great this one can be. My only concern is the dark color. If it isn't a major coil clogger, this will be a definite reorder.

So, I want to be sure to get this right when I ask for it: You ordered Black Tea, then specifically requested half-shots each of Caramel and Pear?

Thanks again for the running Tobaccos commentary. I wouldn't normally go for Maple-flavored either, but now it may make it into the sampler I'm planning.

I've had the last of my re-visiting liquids tanked for a couple days now, but it's been a little busy and I don't think I've been paying them proper attention for a thoughtful report. I might have to refill and do a special session with them here shortly.

Yep. Just like that.
I went through a number of bottles of this flavor combo from AHL and this is pretty much spot on.

Speaking of tobaccos..

Yep. Pretty much.. The thing that makes me even more sad is I ordered two bottles of Slim's RY4. One standard and one with heavy flavor. The RY4 appears to use Westward as the base. I had previously ordered RY4 with pistachio, which is still unvapable and I blamed the pistachio. I'm now of the opinion that the RY4 is the culprit. It and Westward are just plain nasty. I've tried a lot of RY4's and love many but this is pretty much like vaping Pine-Sol. Amazing how the tobaccos from one vendor can be so vastly different. These bottles are going away for a very long time.

One more tonight.. This time I ordered a bottle of RedBoro with heavy (20%) flavor. Not sure why I did this as I really enjoyed the standard version last time. This option took it from a mild tobacco with a semi sweet finish to something very close to a burning cigarette. It's not horrible but it's closer than I want to be to the real thing these days. No big deal as I have unflavored base at my nic level on hand, so I'll cut it until it tastes right. Thought I'd mention this in case anyone else had the same idea about adding extra tobacco flavor. Probably best to go with the creators version. :)

I have an order being delivered today, can't wait! Mine took 3 days from them to the northwest US by priority.
I ordered: Vanilla Milkshake (custom 75% milkshake, 25% malt)
Horchata
The Greater Good
Badger Grease
Chocolate Covered Cherry

I know a good steep will improve them, probably dive right into the Horchata tho.....mmmmm!

Horchata (the drink) is one of my very favorite things in the world. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the juice!

Today's flavor impression: Cigar Sweets
As described on the website:
"A unique blend of Black Sherry, Sweetener, and Virginia Fire Cured Tobacco." Man, that sounded soooo good!
What it really tastes like: SweeTarts Candy with a hint of tobacco and more sweetener. Sort of similar to MBV Hawk Sauce less the menthol. This should be in the candy section under another name. I feel violated. ;-)

Speaking of Virginia Fire Cured Tobacco:
Straight up honey and a light tobacco. Probably RedBoro. Not impressed with either of these. They are nice and clean but one-dimensional and certainly off the mark from their descriptions. I don't see how steeping would change these.

Ooooh, I wanted Virginia Fire-Cured. I might try it anyway since I sometimes like things differently. Let us know if you change your mind about it, please! IME, tobacco is one of those "must-steep" flavor components.

I absolutely agree and I expect the tobacco to come forward after a steep but I've never seen honey steep away. It just dominates. I had a bottle of AVE Bees Knees for a full year and the honey never backed off one bit. I finally tossed it. I'm just not a fan of honey in a vape. But yes, you should try it. Just because I don't like it doesn't mean you won't.

Thanks to FogMust for sending me to Slims website. Been a Castle Long vaper for a year now and I needed to get some more. But spending so much on the bottle I just couldn't right now.

Ordered Castle Short and tried it FOOB. Had a heavy nic and bourbon taste. But I know steep a little it'll get better. Tasted almost like my DIY but much smoother.

As of now its tasting very good. Like mentioned before after the ingredient mixed and blended nicely it's really good.

Please do tell about the charred Popsicle stick to add that oaky flavor. I'm interested. I asked Slim if it can get that oaky taste. But it's getting there. I have Oak flavoring, naw won't mix it in till the bottle is almost gone.

Heheh, I didn't re-order yet, so the charred popsicle stick is still just an idea. A twisted hillbilly idea. Your oak flavoring is a more professional option and you should tell us how it goes! Anyway, glad to hear that Slims is getting you past your Castle Shortage (heh heh heh)....

I've got a million of 'em folks
