I'll go through some details here. The only 'exotic' tool you need is a drill press, although you can get away with using a regular drill.
You have to shave down the atty connector a bit so it will fit into the RCA connector. Just use a metal file while slowly rotating the atty connector in the drill to take off a bit of material, then it will press fit into the RCA connector. Then, just heat it up with a soldering iron and add solder to the gaps between the RCA plug and atty (this isn't necessary if you have a tight fit, but it adds strength).
To make the posts for the coil, you can use sewing needles or IC sockets. One sewing needle is soldered to the shell of the RCA plug and the other is soldered to the center contact of the atty connector.
