Smart smoker usa/uk is a scam!

I tried one of the "free trials" before I found this forum. Called them to cancel once the "fine print" showed up in the confirmation e-mail.

Told them to cancel the order before it shipped and they said they couldn't do that. Asked them if they thought the Michigan Attorney General would approve of their scam. They quickly canceled my "free trial" and haven't heard from them since.

2 things:

1) the terms and conditions link at the bottom of the homepage states that you will be charged $10 for your FREE trial (when did 10 bucks = free?) and that if you dont return it then you will be charged $100 (presumably ontop of the $10) for that month + $100 for every month after that (i didnt check and see what you got for the $100 per month though).

2) not to be paranoid or anything, but i find it odd that the only defender of this company is a member with only 1 post whos name sounds like the tag-line of an advertisement. even if that is just me being paranoid (in which case i apologize to giving up smoking) i still find it suspicious, or at least bad etiquette, for a company to have a 1-900 number as their help line.

My wife was almost scammed by smart smoker. Fortuneately, when I was researching it, I found my way to ECF. Needless to say, I learned alot hear and we've now ordered our first vapor king kits, plus alot of extras, from Vapor4Life. We so excited to get off the analogs and start vaping. The community here is amazing.

Well, the only reason that I posted was that people were saying that they had had problems and could not get through, I checked and the UK people are the same as the US people so thought this information would come in handy!!

I accept your apology Mr Quackums but dont think for one second that this is an advertising name, I am giving up smoking, and with with the aid of my Smart Smoker I have reduced from 40 a day to 10 a day!!

I noticed that most sites with that kind of trial scam the whole "As seen on CNN!!!" line. Kinda funny considering the kind of reputation CNN is giving the e-cig these days if you ask me

My aunt got screwed too, paid 130$ for a DSE-801/RN4072 and a handful of pre-filled from Smoking...let's call it Smoking Somewhere because seriously i can't remember which one it is.

Anyways as far as Smart Smoker is concerned, they do have a 10 day satisfaction garanteed seal at the bottom of the screen so you can always bring that up in your arguments.
