I have one and the husband has one. Both have been totally reliable and have performed excellently. I've dropped mine a few times, the husband probably hasn't. For the price, I think it's one of the more reliable, and definitely likable mods out there. Despite it being rather long and certainly not a tiny mod, the hand feel is great, the rubberized finish is actually awesome in the hand, and neither of them have missed a beat. I really like mine. I'd say it's a good choice, for sure. TC is good, and it has a nice, easy menu system. I think I've heard a report or two of lines forming on the display, but I think the vendor was willing to replace IIRC.

Other than that, I have only heard positives and that has been my experience. I would recommend it.

I have been useing the variable wattage curve for the last few weeks and I don't think I will ever buy another mod with out this feature.
It makes every puff super consistant and once it is set for your current atty and coil build it's a dang near perfect vape every puff.
as an example
For my Aromnizer plus duel coil setup .20 ohm.
50,45,40,35,35,35,35,35,35,35
this gives a nice pleasant warm vape from start to finish.

I agree with you, I think it’s basically a temp control for wattage. You can have it hit hard right away for when you take a short pull. Then when you take a longer pull it just nice and consistent. It doesn’t get uncomfortably hot because of the wattage drop the longer you hit it. Excellent feature, no doubt

Well, that's bad luck. My Cylon has developed the dreaded lines across the screen, gotten worse throughout the day. Getting even worse too with some lines now starting to flicker. Have contacted Smoant with photos of the device, box with bar code and QA card. Hopefully they'll step up to sort it :(

I do not deserve my Cylon's behavior at all. It's one of my favorite mods so it kinda goes everywhere, so that does mean it gets dropped a lot. I dropped it just this morning, actually from high enough up that the battery compartment opened and my batteries flew everywhere. It was fine.

I'm sorry about your Cylon that really sucks. I was freaked out by the screen initially (more I thought I would crack it) but like, they must have some anti-cracking protections going on. Sometimes I like to imagine vendors see me coming and they're like "Quick, get out the Teflon coating, it's Anna."

Only not Joytech. Everything joytech I have breaks. They don't love me enough. LOL.

Both of My cylons have developed problems with there screens, I did not keep my box's and stuff so I am kinda sol. Both mods still function fine it's just the screen. damed irritating.
My ageis legend 200 is seeing way more use now then my cylons.

Yeah, bit of a shame. Hopefully I'll get it replaced but I plan to mail the new one to my place in Malaysia that I don't use much. It'll be used as a part time mod there, relegated to the reserve bench.

As to the one here that's likely gonna die over time, unless I'm lucky, it'll replace it, but not with another Smoant. Much as I like their mods I found the paint job on the Battlestar poor, at least in tropical / humid climate, so much so that a lot has flaked off. Then the screen with the Cylon. OK they've supposedly fixed it but I tend to have little patience with stuff that goes wrong. Sure s**t happens, as it may well do with the Cylon's replacement, but I'm all for giving another brand a shot before I ignore the 'once bitten, twice shy' and buy another Smoant. The Ranker and Charoen 218 are both nice looking, confidence in the brand is down for me though.

So, ordered already, looking forward to the Paranormal 250C :)

Indeed. It seems the problem was supposedly rectified with mods produced after Feb 2018. My manufacture date - Jan 2018 grrrrrrrr.

That scared me enough to go dig the box out. Yes, I really do save all that stuff. Lucky for me it was after 2/18. Still no guarantee it won't happen. Time will tell. I hope it doesn't as it's a nice dual battery mod, especially at the price point.
