Yes, if you're having the exact same thing with 2 different batteries, you are probably going to have to blame the mod, IIRC the mod you are using can have problems of various sorts. If it's under warranty, send it back. If you have a decent B&M store near you with an electronics expert (you know, every time I type that sentence in response to a non-functioning mod, I feel so *lucky* now) you could take it in and have it looked at, it may be a simple problem that a store can remediate. My B&M always does that for free so I buy juice to say thanks and keep them in business. I've had at least 3 batteries fixed, and one tank :)

I hope you get it sorted out that sounds very annoying. Good luck! Maybe you also want to have different mods for backup if you don't already. When this one works, it's great.... There have been reports of problems however, and you don't want to constantly be replacing/fixing it. Maybe check out a smaller battery and tank for a backup?

This isnt the only Smok with the screen problem he mentioned either. Ive heard of it happening to the GX350 and G320 Marshall as well.

If you are looking for something easy to use, durable, and not too expensive, I'd recommend the IPV-5. It's a two battery mod, it has TC mode for if you want to use it, and it's a... forgiving mod (I'm clumsy, drop it frequently, though now that I'm vaping exclusively, that is happening less, it seems, I guess I'm paying more attention, heh). That said, it's pretty much ugly as sin. I use a Nautilus 2 tank on it, but I've used sub ohm (cleto tank) on it also, and it handles great. That said, if you are building your own coils? I don't know how well it performs with that... I can only recommend it as a very simple, usable mod.

I'm not a big believer in "kits" even from the beginning.... Everything is so varable these days, it's good to have a couple mods you like, and a couple tanks and whatnot. But, I'm not the best advisor here, I haven't tried every new setup from the last 7 years... You could check out some reviews, but ONLY with the caveat that they're demonstrating reviews, so you can at least get a sense of how a setup functions and runs, even if they're saying it's the third coming, it may not be, but you can check out any recommendations here that way to get a sense of how the mod and tank perform, before purchasing again.

I just got a new battery first off all everything ok but now battery shows as charging even though it's not connected to USB or anything
Had same problem with old battery anyone help
Welcome and glad you joined. Could ask the vendor (if you bought from manufacture, see if they will exchange for different model.) if you could exchange for a different recommended mod manufacturer. If your planning to sub ohm, a two battery mod (re: @stols001 ) is a good idea.
