Smok M65 Owners Please.

Hi guys, ive got a question for the M65 owners, and hopefully there are a few of you here that can help me out.

Recently ive been noticing a noise coming from the M65 when i fire with an atty ontop, and it sounds like a short arc type thing, where it crackles a bit from the top of the mod. So what im wanting to know is do they all do this or is this something only related to my 2 M65's.
So if you stick the mod to your ear, with the button closest to it and fire, do you hear anything besides the atty firing?

I hope that makes some sense, and the only reason im wanting to know this is just incase my 2 units have a short circuit somewhere.

You might be correct in thinking that what you're hearing is the battery arcing. Because the battery plate i noticed on mine is chrome plated i took some sandpaper and sanded off the chrome to show the bare metal only took a few passes chrome plating isn't very good as a conductor poor qc there.

Ive done that to one of them, and it didnt stop it, thinking it might be a capicator noise or something like that, either way i think ill replace them both with something different as i dont like the sound it makes, makes me nervous when im using them now.

Could there be juice in there just an idea the juice could be shorting a solder connection on the chip, but my advice is yeah i would get something else. Myself i have since retired this device because of similar issues.

Had both chips out and they were bone dry, seems as you say its just one of those things and time to retire them, shame as i liked the design and the way it felt in the hand...might have a crack at shoe horning a dna in there sometime.
