I recently dropped my mod.
When I went to go fire it up again it wouldn't fire.
When I hold down the fire button I can hear a very quiet buzzing sound when I put my ear up to the side where the board is.
Also, when holding down the fire button the timer doesn't count up until I let go of the button, then it shows how many seconds I held it for and the voltage is only showing .60 or so.
So far I have cleaned the firing pin, checked to make sure the pin isn't stuck, cleaned inside of the 510 connector, and I have even taken apart the mod to check for any signs of shorts on the board.
No luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Since you get buzzing when you hit the fire button, your battery and leads going to the circuit board are ok. You're also getting the fire signal to the board. But you're not getting the correct outputs from the board, such as the timer and power to the tank. Chances are good the circuit board is damaged. I don't know much about the electronics involved so this is just an educated guess. Some one else should be along that may be more help.

I'm afraid I have to agree on the likelihood of it being the board that was damaged. I wouldn't use that mod and send it in for warranty/repair, if you can, and if it's cost effective. But, someone may be along with a magic fix. I think you've done most of what you can right now though, so I'd maybe let it sit and see if anyone has other suggestions. Please be careful with it since if the board is not functioning, playing around with the settings with it on may not be the most fantastic idea ever (though I doubt anything will happen, I'm just naturally cautious.)

Best of luck,

It's a $40 mod so if you can't get a warranty replacement, cannibalize it.
