Over the course of the year, one of the all-in-one Pod devices that impressed me most for build quality and design was Morph Pod-40. Review: SMOK MORPH POD-40 Kit 2000mAh
So today I'm pretty excited to be able to introduce you the natural smok upgrade that comes with these two new versions of Morph Pod.

► Morph Pod-80 & Morph S Pod-80; First impressions:

This Smok All-In-One project started with the small Morph 40 and these two "evolutions" maintain the meticulous attention to detail, choice of materials and the original ultra comfortable "arch" design. These Kits bring together almost all the best features of a Pod system in a single device.
The arched form factor together with the fire button that occupies all the front space makes the Mods truly ergonomic, moreover the zinc alloy mask guarantees a remarkable structural solidity.
Materials such as leatherette and the velvety plastic finish give a very pleasant tactile feedback.
The OLED screen is positioned laterally in a rational way and offers 4 different reading possibilities (Flip Screen).
The AFC system is adjustable and the new cartridge with capacity increased to 5ml always stands out for the convenient refill of e-liquid from the top.

► Morph Pod-80 & Morph S Pod-80; beautiful from all points of view:
The air flow inlet on the top of the device is adjustable by means of a metal knob. The maneuverability of the AFC is solid and well braked, it supports the types of universal vaping from open Mtl to DL.

The front has a stealthy and minimalist look, the large Fire key spreads across the surface and offers extended and comfortable push activation.
Under the fire button there is the 1.4A Type-C charging socket (1.5A for the S model).

The arched design of the back enhances the overall aesthetics and provides an optimal grip, the leatherette insert houses the wording "Morph Pod 80" (Morph S Pod 80) with hot branding, to complete the aesthetic picture, there are two seams with handcrafted look arranged vertically.

The zinc alloy armor embraces the front part from below and the back from above, while in the center it completely protects the device from shocks.
The 0.91 "Oled screen is housed in the center of the armor together with the (soft and rubbery) Up / Down adjustment buttons. On the other side in the center there is a plastic insert that bears the word" Smok "with a brilliant effect.
The side view of these devices allows you to appreciate the extreme manufacturing care that Smok's technicians have applied to this project.

The new Compartment / Pod compared to the original Morph-40 uses a double interlocking anchor + magnets. The compartment is screwed to the Mod using four torx screws, contains the two contact pins and has two very powerful magnets that guarantee perfect placement of the cartridge.
There is no sensor for the automatic Puff, this does not bother me also because with time and intensive use it could lead to operational complications.

The support base of Morph Pod-80 & Morph S Pod-80 differs greatly between the two versions, as the first is equipped with an integrated battery, while the other (the S version) adopts a system with an opening sliding door for use high discharge 18650 cell.

When the USB cable is plugged in, the interface displays the charge level (%) and estimated charging time.
The battery is well managed by the chipset, the supply is constant until the last puff and the recharge time for the Morph with integrated 3,000mAh battery is estimated in about two hours and with the cell charged at 100% I managed to do over 500 puffs at constant 25W.

► Morph Pod-80 & Morph S Pod-80; Pod:
The cartridge made of PCTG contains up to 5ml of e-liquid, the conical drip-tip (not replaceable) is quite wide at the bottom, while at the top it assumes an acceptably small size for MTL / RDL vaping.
The refill takes place comfortably from above by removing the rubber cap, the oval-shaped filling hole is well sized.
The large transparent surface of this cartridge offers excellent visibility of the internal e-liquid.
The insertion / extraction of the LP2-Coils takes place with the "Press and Pull" method.

► LP2 Coil; 3 + 1 Leakproof:
Compared to the previous RPMs, the new LP2 coils differ slightly in the external structure; the new LP2 have the upper ring that prevents air infiltration in the pod and the "spitting" and two silicone rings added to the bottom of the resistance that effectively blocking possible liquid leaks but not condensation which remains limited in any case and totally acceptable.
For these devices and to make the most of their characteristics, Smok recommends the use of the coils below.

• 0.23Ω LP2 Meshed Coil DL:
• 0.4Ω LP2 Mesh Coil:
These two resistors included in the kit are probably the best choice for the characteristics of the Smok Morph Pod-80 & Morph S Pod-80. I find these Coils perfect for a 25W RDL vape. The 0.23Ω one is the one I prefer, it offers an excellent aromatic release with the production of dense clouds of vapor if it is used between 30 and 40W.

► Morph Pod-80 & Morph S Pod-80; Operation Guide:
The 0.91 "Oled Display houses the following indications; power, remaining battery% charge, coil value, duration of the last Puff and total number of Puffs. There are also some interesting solutions, such as the possibility of viewing the display in a horizontal + upside down or vertical + upside down.
There are brightness adjustment and enlarged fonts that contribute to an optimal reading of the data.

- Power on: Make 5 clicks on the fire button
- Shutdown: 5 click on the fire button to access the function interface; Press the Fire button to switch to Power Off Function, then select "YES" and long press the Fire button.
- Setting the power Press the Up / Down buttons to adjust the power from 5 to 40W in steps of 1W per click.
- To lock / unlock the power: Press the Up / Down buttons simultaneously
- To lock / unlock the device: Quickly press the Fire key 3 times.
- To reset the number of Puff: Press the Fire button and the Down button at the same time to enter the Puff Clear menu, then select "YES" and press the Fire button for a long time.
- Flip Screen: Press the Fire key 5 times to switch to the function, then press the Up / Down buttons to select the direction of the screen and long press the Fire key to confirm.
- Brightness setting: Press the Fire key 5 times to switch to the Brightness function, then press the Up / Down keys to adjust the screen brightness from 20 to 100%.
