Hi.
First post
I’ve been vaping nearly 2 years bought a few diff mods but keep going bk to my Prince stick. Major problem is after 6/7 months they just stop charging. (Just after warranty runs out).
This is my favourite I always have 2 but getting fed up replacing so many times.
Just wondering if anyone knows of something with same output etc.
Very grateful for any help before I take up smoking again
Thanks Mell.

If you hang around here you'll notice not alot of people like smok around here ( mainly because their quality is quite bad).

The only other company i knew who made a stick like vape was Uwell, i believe it was called the nunchaku 2, it uses external battery but it just makes it able to last longer since you can replace the battery instead of the mod.

Otherwise sorry but i'm at a loss, i haven't kept up with starter kits so can't really help there.

Most may not like smok products, but apparently they worked well enough to get you off real smokes! That's not really junk!! I would think with a little trial and error, you might find something more durable that works for you, but worse case, you say you can get 6 to 7 months out of one? They're somewhere around 30 bucks, not a bad investment, the cost of half a carton of smokes and it last 6 months, just the additional cost of juice and coils.. not a bad trade as I see it.

Smok are notorious for bad quality control but I'm not knocking em, I love my tfv12p sub ohm tank but the coils could do with being a little better, it's like pot luck when you buy a smok product but lots of people like them, it would help if you state your vaping style, mouth to lung is a restricted draw and mostly resembles smoking, direct to lung is considerably different as you directly inhale the vape, if you say your style you will get answers about other products that will suit you

a Lot of people like the Nunchukau kit. I have never tried one so I can't personally vouch for them but they are very popular and I have never heard anything negative about them. They are a regulated tube as well. Maybe a little bigger than the Smok Stick. A small mod I do have that I would recommend is the Aegis Solo. Mine has been through hell and is still going strong. The finish has worn off in places but it still works perfectly. Replacement parts are available for them too. Both of the devices I mentioned have external batteries so you would have to buy 18650 batteries and I would recommend an external charger as well.

Welcome and glad you joined.
I would go with the Eleaf iJust S Starter Kit for tube mods. Looks like it's a very close fit to the smok.

Joyetech UNIMAX 25 3000mAh Starter Kit
I use the Eleaf Istick box mod series (Istick 30's are getting harder to find and are nearly the same price as the Istick 40TC) and they are the best I have found for longevity and dependability.

+1 on the Nunchaku, great regulated tube mod.

such is the problem of buying internal battery mods ... ie.. little hope of finding a replacement battery when they die

thats the bottom line
sounds ....ty cause it is

i like my smok x-priv its still working after > 3 years of solid use
my smok g-priv 2 lux only lasted a year
both came with the tvf 12 tank .. a good tank for my use and both are still working

the benefit of 2 x 18650 mod's is they tend to last for a long time
( still using the smok x-priv and now a geekvape legend )
batteries are a ..... to find here but they are findable

you can adjust a good mod anywhere from 2 watts to > 200 .. somewhere in that range you will find the one thats good for you
personally im normally vaping around 20watts which is close to most of the stick mods

my recommendation for many reasons including safety is always a 2 18650 battery mod
