Newbie here, wondering how I can get the most out of my smok M80 plus. I just got the Smok TCT tank and am not very impressed. The reviews seem good on these products so most likely, it's user error[emoji1]
I am wondering what optimal temps and wattage are for this combo? But any tips are welcomed and appreciated!

I'm not as familiar with this tank but I always recommend people vape a tank at 3.6 volts and move up or down according to taste. The VG/PG ratio of the e-liquid and the flavorings will play a big part, as well as the tank. On the M80 you set in watts but you'll see the voltage when you hit the fire button.

The TCT uses a nickle coil and should only be used in temp control mode.
Start off about 400f, adjust up / down to find what you like.
There is no such thing as optimal settings, it is all a mater of personal preference.

Reviews on products are generally inaccurate, usually sales pitch driven.
I don't want to say negative things about your m80, probably best to watch pBusardo & DJLsb vapes reviews to understand the power device better.

You just contradicted yourself about reviews being sales driven but then list 2 youtube reviewers?

If that's the case the M80+ may be the wrong mod to use. The temp control function isn't truly temp control. I would just use another tank if Ni200 coils are the only option for this tank (as a side note the coils look like Atlantis v2 coils with the base sheared in half, meaning you should be able to use standard Atlantis coils is you went through the pain of re-using the bottom electrode part).

Myself, I would just get another tank.

I guess I shouldn't have gone with the website's suggestion to use that tank with the m80 plus. That was obviously just a ploy to get me to buy more!

Thanks! So you recommend the Atlantis for this particular mod? Do you have any other tank recommendations so I have a choice?

Any delivery device with a 510 connection will work on the M80, best not to use heads/wire types that need a properly functioning TC mode. Meaning stick with kanthal & watt/power mode.

It's hard to give delivery device recommendations without knowing what it is you're looking for.

I had to think a while on that. Because after reading your comment I realized I wasn't sure. I guess I'm just looking for someone who has used it, how they like it, how it works ,what they're using with it...etc. the review videos just don't do it for me

I meant, what are you looking for in/from a delivery device.
When you say "it", which of the dozens of its are you inquiring about.

Everything in vaping is a matter of personal preferences, what I or many others think is the best 'tank'/delivery device, you or many others might think is horrible.
What features are important to you.

Like I said, any delivery device that has a 510 connection with replacement heads that use kanthal or you use kanthal in an rba of some sort in watt mode will work on the m80.

Just me, my favorite is a P3 threaded Kabuki (won't work on 510 threaded power device), I have several of the 510 kabuki's I don't care for at all, they sit in a box unused.
Triton v2, nautilus x, triton mini, nautilus, toptank mini, 1st gen crown, herakles I don't recall which version I have 3 or 4.
I was a fan of the atlantis for quite a while, I received 4 boxes of replacement heads with the wicking material packed too tight I have no desire or time to fiddle & futz around with vaping stuff so all the atlantis & 99% of anything that requires building/rba/rta etc now resides in the unused box...
I could go on for a page with what I've tried & liked.

What is most desirable in a delivery device to me may be completely different from what you are looking for.
