Can you post a pic of what you're using? Good Japanese pads are perfectly fine wicking material. IF they're good quality, new and in good shape.

Stuff without the package is the crappy cotton that came with this cheap coil building tool set. Stuff that is packed in the bag is the muji cotton I've ordered on ebay. I did't want to waste the better stuff on my first wicking adventures so I just used the crap cotton lol

I have only used KGD (which I suspect is fake lol) but I have some Puff and Muji that I never used. All look the same except for size of pad.

That said, to cotton or to rayon, well, that's a personal preference IMHO. Some people swear on rayon, some people hate it. Some people love cotton, others hate it. In the end, it's really just personal preference. Some people say rayon is tasteless while others think it has a funny flavor and will therefore not use it. Others say that cotton has a funny flavor and will never use it. lol

The Muji pads will be fine, that other stuff should be disposed of forthwith :D

Amazon has the puff pads in 200 pad bags for cheap. I had a A BAG arrive today. Japanese pads are cheap friend. Use the good ones. Seriously.

Rayon absorbs juice much faster, but holds less by volume when soaked. That's why many times I will wrap a Rayon core with cotton. Best of both worlds :D You can adjust how much of each too.

I didn't want to get into all that for this guy's sake though. He's just starting out.

You're right. I'll stop being such a cheapskate lol. I only ordered like 20 pads, originally I wanted to use them to rewick the smok factory coils to bring vaping costs down. And to learn how to rewick in case of an emergency. Initially I thought I would only use the tank with factory coils. But then I saw that RBA for TFV12 on sale for 6 pounds (about 7.5$) so I thought- why not. Now I'm also planning to buy an MTL RTA or RDTA to try it out. And maybe a normal RDTA. And a standard MTL tank with factory coils lol... appetite grows day by day haha :D

IMHO, learn to use your RBA and RTAs first before you venture into RDTAs. JMHO.

YOU'RE HIRED!!!

Boy I wish I would have seen that before I ordered mine.

The only reason I found it was because I put the SKU you linked to in my wishlist. Then after I did that Amazon displayed some "suggested items" and that 2 pack was one of them lol

tried it already, a bit of leaking after vaping a full 8ml bubble but not too dramatic. Mostly where the tank touches the mod but the 510 port was clean and dry. I imagine though that if I kept going it would eventually end up inside though....
@gsmit1 by the way, I sad that too early. My tank just leaked like crazy all over the shop lol I'm off to bed soon so I'll finish off on my mtl tank, and rewick this one first thing when I wake up. You've predicted that disaster lol

Could you please explain? I was advised earlier that I should get one as the best of both worlds, RTA and RDA. Also my research so far - less leaking issues unless you tilt it over.

Ha! I just saw that yar a skutsman :D

I TOTALLY understand the money saving thing. Truly. Of all the things in this game though, wicking is the least expensive. Grab that 2 pack of bags of Puffs and you'll have wicking for years.

Do yourself a favor. Forget rewicking most factory coils. This RBA will get you pointed in the right direction.

My experience with RDTAs is that they are harder to wick properly. But I have not owned many. I no longer use them. Too much of a headache for me. I use only RTAs now and an occasional RDA.
