That's good to know. I hope it is as tough as it sounds.
I know there is a video where a reviewer tore a sintered coil apart and he had to really work at it to get the ceramic to break apart. It took quite a bit of direct force for him to break it, which made me feel pretty secure about the integrity of the coil. It seems like it would take a great deal of direct force to even get it to crack, so that's a good thing. :)

I think I missed something here....... What claim(s) did I make? The only claims made here have been the ones calling me names.
I am merely asking questions. Those being:

1. Can a sintered ceramic wick in a coil head break under harsh use?
2. Can a sintered ceramic wick be poorly manufactured in a way in which it releases ceramic powder when inhaled through?

These are my concerns, and for bringing them to attention, I am being called an alarmist.
One claim that you made was that you were making your posts as a Warning to others.

You were told twice about the safety of using ceramic under these conditions, but you insisted. You were reassured that the Sintering process is a safe one, but that did not matter.

Yes, I want to know more about how they are made, but I wrote to the manufacturer to get those answers, rather than make speculations. Of course it's possible that a manufacturer could use sloppy processes and have poor QC, but until it is proven that a manufacturer is doing that, then posts made in the way you made them should be put on hold until there is evidence or proof of such.

Now, I think you should drop it, and I really hope you will. There is nothing more to be said about it until more is known.

He dug it out from the bottom with sharp tools and broke it to bits.

I have successfully taken some of those Heads apart without damaging the ceramic core. I scraped one with a sharp tool to see what would happen. There was no powder, dust, or grit. It didn't really even leave a mark on the ceramic until I started digging at it hard. I hope these things make you feel better about it. But that was for another product. I'll do the same for this one when I get it in a few days... if I get an ICC Coil Head.

The other manufacturer even released MSDS Reports on the Coil Heads. I'll try to get them for these ICC Coil Heads, too.

Right, it was a different head. But still, the process is the same so I feel great about trying this sintered coil as well, considering how well the other ones perform. The longevity of a sintered coil sold me on it a while ago! :)

Wrong. I never said such a thing.

I am here to learn about, and discuss the topic at hand.

Please stop harrassing me and falsly accusing me of things I have not done or said.

Good looking tank. Bottom airflow looks quite lacking compared to the TFV4 (2 air slots compared to 4 large of the TFV4).
I'm possibly interested in this tank, particularly the dual coil rebuildable option which is a big plus of the TFV4.

Will be looking out for some reviews.
I'll be posting more info once I get mine, and hopefully answers from IJoy.

Can tootle puffers use the ceramics or are they strictly for lung hits? I guess what I'm asking is can someone use these and not sub ohm on these or the vaporesso ones?

I believe you can use the ceramic coil for MTL if you close the air flow waaaay down. I just tried to do that with my ceramic coil and I think I did it, but I am definitely a hard-core lung hitter so it was hard for me but the draw is nice and tight (with the Vaporesso coil. I don't have the Reaper yet. I think the .5 ohm Clapton coil and the RDA section will make MTL a very viable option, though.

Some people can satisfactorily MTL on the Vaporesso Target, and some did not like it. I tried it to advise them and thought it would be OK, but some didn't like it. They said the Watts had to be cranked up too high for them to get adequate vapor and flavor.

When I get the Reaper Plus, I'll try it again. A difference with this one is that there are OCC Heads available, but the highest ohm rating is the 0.5Ω Clapton with a low-end rating of 35 Watts.

However, there are two RBA Heads available.

With RBA1 you can build 1Ω+ coils and tighten the adjustable air flow.

I'll have to see which Heads are included in what I will receive.

Another possibility for MTL would be a TC Coil. I'll try what I get, but I can't speak for everyone.

I am able to mtl on the Atlantis by closing the afc almost all the way and using my own drip tip, however when I used the apex. 5 ohm that did not go well because I had to turn it up high to get vapor but then it burned my juices. They don't do well above 11 to 13 watts. I'm thinking now it will depend more so on my juices than the coils.

@cooladdict I think if I get non aiv baker's or teas I might be ok with the ceramic. I'm dying to try it but I def want a tank with lots of head options.

iJoy also has a "Reaper Geek" on their website:
IJOY reaper Geek tank

IJOY-reaper-Geek.jpg

But it doesn't really look like a tank from that pic. Does anyone know if this is an add-on for the Reaper plus? Like a conversion kit? or a stand alone unit?
Interesting! So if I am reading this right, it can handle three triple coil heads? that's allota vapor! It doesn't look like a tank to me, either. It sounds like it is an atomizer that takes prebuilt heads! I hope someone who knows a thing will post what they know!
