Simply put, its a POS... everything I have bought so far I have been more than happy with besides this tank.

Reasons
  1. Eats juice (cant really blame this tank a little reaserch would have told me that quad coils would)
  2. Eats juice. leaks worse than a strainer and don't tell me about o-rings or negative pressure I trouble shot the hell out of this tank and its simply a flawed design or I got a lemon tank built at 5 o'clock on a friday. I have tried tri coil, quad coil, single coil rba deck, dual coil rba deck and every one dumped about 10 bucks in juice all over my desk.
  3. The single coil rda deck tastes like burning plastic on a long draw. Its not cotton and I noticed that the insulator is different on the single coil vs dual coil deck in that it comes up the sides and suspect it to be the source.
  4. Smoke customer service blows. I emailed them a week ago about the issues and never heard a word back from them
Conclusion:
Cost: $69.99 purchased at a local B&M plus at least 40 bucks in leaked juice puts me at $109.99 total investment but I learned not to buy another smok product again so i got that goin for me :)

I don't do RBA but I have loved the quad and triple coils on mine so far. Sorry you had so much trouble with it. Your story sounds worse than anything I have read.

What a bummer.

Thanks! just google tfv4 leak and you can see plenty more just like me. I'm willing to bet more and more people will come out of the woodwork as more people buy and review it. I'm not going to let it bother me though, lesson learned. I just wanted to warn anyone else considering it.

Honestly, I think your first complaint is irrelevant. It's obvious a tank at 0.2 ohms or 0.15 ohms would suck through juice fast. That should've never been a surprised when buying it. My TFV4 doesn't leak with stock coils. I've laid it on it's side, held it upside down, shook it to hell when I dropped it. Only time it "leaks worse than a strainer" was when I messed up wicking with RBA deck. I never got a burning plastic taste with my RBA deck.

The TFV4 is by far the best tank I have ever used. It blows all other tanks out of the water and I sold them all after getting this one.

Thanks for the warning...sucks to hear. Money to too hard to come by to have something like that happen.

Your b&m won't take it back since its defective? I know most places don't accept returns for hygienic purposes, but this is a defective product. Maybe even store credit?

I am sure if I made a fuss they would do something but I also understand that the B&M would just get stuck holding the bag on it and really they made the same mistake I did buy thinking it was a quality product. I plan on mentioning it to them so they are at least aware of the issue.

I hear ya, but they also may have a better chance of returning the product to their vendor, since they want to keep the b&m as a customer and your b&m wants to keep you as a customer.

Perhaps try a Uwell Crown, similar performance and less chat about leaks. I have three, never had a leak BUT again when I have heard of it RBA is usually in the scenario.

I'm just a pre-made coil guy myself but I like the .25 Crown coil. I imagine you are turned off from trying a new tank but that is my best suggestion if you want to move forward.

Keep investment low >> free shipping 3 week wait though >> $24.21 Authentic Uwell Crown Sub Ohm Tank Clearomizer - 4ml / 0.5ohm / stainless steel + glass at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Yes I read that, which is exactly why I said the first complaint is irrelevant to put since you did the research on it to find out it should be expected. It's not a reason to make this tank a "Simply put, its a POS" and "not to buy another smok product again so i got that goin for me :) "

Feel better? I quoted some for you so you don't have to be a smart ... in your next comment telling me to read it again.

Whats a tank supposed to do genius?
  1. hold my juice
  2. feed my coil
It does not to that and that's what makes it a piece of .... product. contacting smoke and having them resolve said issue would have resolved the issue and kept me as a potential customer. They chose not to respond at all and that's the reason i wont ever buy another smoke product. I thought that was all made obvious in my initial post but I guess I needed to spell it out for a simpleton like yourself. hopefully this makes things clear for you but if not I'm sorry but I'm through attempting to help you understand why this product is ..... good day sir :)

I've actually been looking a this tank and been debating buying it. I got a morph tank and finally got it working the way I want it to. Still kinda have issues with wicking and the rba section but since I got some ni200 aspire atlantis v2 vertical coil heads I've been loving the morph tank.

I just want a new tank now for my bigger ipv3 liVR. I want a beastly tank lol, I want killer flavor and vapor as close to a dripper as I can get it, but in the simplicity of a tank form. Sometimes I just don't feel like using any of my rda's.

I've been rebuilding coils since I had a pro tank 2 about a year ago. I still struggle with this morph tank rba lmao. I'm great with my lemo drop but this morph tank rba has me kinda stumped. I know it must be my wicking method, I just need to keep trying it.

Lunar,

I feel the same way. I am searching for an rda inside a tank that's why the tfv4 was such a disappointment and why I made the point to post my experience so others can be aware. just take a look at smok's facebook page or google tfv4 leaking before you decide to pick one up is all I'm saying.

Classwife,

Sorry I got a little ...... but I find it rude when someone gives an honest review of a bad experience with a product and manufacturer and a fanboy of that product comes to chime in how his are awesome. If he had a tip, advice on a solution, or recommendation of a different product that would have at least added value to the post. I stand by my response to him and if thats not cool ill show myself the door.

@nwatchmn out of curiosity, did your local b&m use lube? $40 for juice is over 240ml for me, and I don't make my own. Then there is the price of the tank, way too much... How much juice did you dump out without correcting the problem?

I'm planning on getting one of these soon as they seem to be a good tank, just not idiot proof. The only thing I don't like is the top fill. I think bottom fill is way better. I wish they made a bottom fill version.

I have read a bunch of complaints about this tank and there pretty much all the same. It dumped juice everywhere out the air inlets. It had to get into the air inlet somehow. That leaves either it wasn't screwed together correctly or the oring didn't seal or there is a crack somewhere or the gasket on the bottom of the coil. No Im not being a SA, Im trying figure out what went wrong. I dumped my first tank to until I figured out it wasn't screwed together. It looked like it was but it wasnt

OK, I'm not even going to respond to this. e-cigarette-forum.com really knows how to welcome a new member.. I'm out!
Chill out dude. It sounds like you need to calm down and take a close look at the tank. There are only so many reasons it can leak. If it leaked with every atty/rba, there has to be a reason. Sure, you may have a lemon, but there is a good chance you are overlooking something. There are a couple threads about these tanks on this site. Take a good look at them and see if you can find some info that helps.

FYI, I've got 2 other Smok tanks and they are better quality than the other options. I started with a Micro GDC, then bought Nautilus. The GDC blows the Nautilus out of the water in quality and performance. I've also got a TCT and it's the best temp control tank I've used. My local Vape shop started stocking them after looking mine over. Smok may not have the best customer service, but for the most part, the suppiers that carry them don't have any issues getting problems handled.
