For wicking, I simply split the wick above the posts, and ran them through the channels. As you would have guessed, wicking needs work, but short hot pulls are nice.

I have put a 5mm ni coil in mine so there is more room than you would think. Actually a Clapton is probably close to that in OD. Nice build

Very thirsty, for what little wicking can be used. Going to try laying cotton bedding down, even over the air holes, and putting less cotton in the channels. See if we can't get more juice flow.

With only 2 juice channels the wicking didn't have to be extreme. Worked better than I thought. But have gone back to the 3.5 in mine for now.

You could try two wicks through the coil and/or not putting too much wick inside the juice channel.
Also, the Scottish roll wicking method works amazingly with Clapton's.

Right, I use a version of the 'scottish roll'.
Except I leave both sides on at first, stretch slowly, looking at the light, through the cotton while gently stretching the thicker spots, half way through I remove both sides of the pad. Then continue on and let it really fluff out. Tear any end that is clumped and save it for a wick cloud.
Then roll it on the leg in one direction, once it's through the coil, I grab the end, and kind of swirl it around, in a circle, lightly pushing the wick back towards the coil, it expands at that point, very nicely in fact, then cut ends and scrape any dense looking with a dental pick.
My tf-r2 came with two spare coils for the tf-r1...Well lets see if we can get these puppies sucking juice

here's the 2mm dual claptons wicked. Crap image but whatever.
Thinned down juice to ~50% lightened ingoing wicking.
35w hard short pulls are quite nice. However not at all for chain vaping. As one might expect, simply cannot get juice to the coil efficiently.
More work to be done. Might attempt running a line of 32g NiChrome claptoned with 40g NiChrome 1.5mm coils
