I made a banner here a month plus ago, it worked fine up until a week or so ago and now it won't work anymore. I've redone the banner numerous times, readded it to my signature but it keeps showing a red x...

The dark background for SinceMyLastCigarette isn't working for some of us, try changing to the light background.
You can either generate a new one or edit your signature script and change "dark.png" to "default.png".

Looks to me like sincemylastcigarette.com is gone. The site seems to be one of those automatic search-results thingies that is simply set up to generate click-thru/affiliate traffic now. Maybe I'll dust off my PHP/Perl skills and make my own...

jmanning made a most excellent signature generator last year but I think he and I are the only ones using it.
You need to provide a URL to your own 400 X 65 image (PhotoBucket works well) and plug in the details but since it calculates Tar and CO avoided along with the basic info it's probably the most comprehensive sig-generator out there.
You can find the details of most cigarette contents at Erowid Tobacco Vault : Info on Nicotine Content of Cigarette Brands

Could be... Hosting's not an issue; I'll just stand up another VM at Rackspace to house this. If it becomes a de-facto "official" ECF banner, that'd be very sweet.
Thing is, I'm pretty sure that writing one from scratch isn't the best approach. There are numerous examples of "prior art" around that I could build on; No point in reinventing this particular wheel. I'm poking around to find it, but if someone can give me a pointer to source code I could use (ideally GPL), I'd be eternally grateful.

Now that you mention it Kelley, I had a problem getting it to work for at first for me too. I looked for the old thread and AngusATT posted a "fix" for most signature issues at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...en-uploading-signature-image.html#post2335871. I believe this resolved the display problem I was having.

So did you list the $$ spent on your glv's in your calculations ?
cuz it looks like you smoked half what I did but saved about the same amount...
and I listed the total amount that I have spent on e-cig related supplies .

When I plugged in my numbers I was pretty liberal with my "monthly costs" which are much lower than anticipated but every time I think about updating the numbers, Jay releases another must-have GLV so it kind of balances out in the long-term.
