I am recently fully switched to personal vaporizers. Besides the health benefits, I have enjoyed the freedom to vape where I want, be it walking through the mall, or at a restaurant. Unfortunately, I haven't been paying very close attention, until recently, to the laws relating to vaping.
On the first of this year, Savannah Ga put into effect the Savannah Smokefree Air Act of 2010. This covers e-cigs as well. I read an article about a vaper that actually went to the public hearing about it and tried to get the provision stating e-cigs removed, but failed(not their fault) I only wish that A) I had known about it then and B) I hadn't been several thousand miles away.
The one good thing I can say is that I don't own an "e-cigarette" I use a personal vaporizer. I will fight this as hard as I possibly can.
Another good thing about this, "My" bar is not really enforcing the ordinance yet. I went in last night and there was smoke everywhere. Either they don't care, or don't know...

Addis, it wasn't simply a vaper who went to Savannah, it was ECF forum member Vocalek, who is also Elaine, our CASAA board Vice President! :) CASAA also sent a formal and detailed critique in opposition to this legislation's inclusion of ecigs in the Savannah smoking ban, along with a large packet of resource materials.

It is too bad you weren't around at the time. We tried hard to find others who would go to the public hearing to fight this ban alongside us.

The materials we sent to accompany the letter can be found here: http://www.casaa.org/files/CASAA_Legislative_Packet_Regarding_Indoor_Bans_Web.pdf

Elaine's news article about going to Savannah is here: CASAA.org
