This entire thing is simple. If you like the Blu - use it. If you are like the 99% that think it sucks - don't. EVERY model will have people that like it - and that's great. That is the point of vaping - find something you like.

If you don't like what you have - buy something else. If you like what you have - don't. It doesn't matter what others say.

Hello. I have narrowed down my choices to the SmokeStik and Blu. I think I like SmokeStik more because of the Hindu design and that you get more puffs from the cartomizer rather than from an cartridge. But I like that Blu has flavors you can choose from. Can anyone give me their opinions on these two products please? Thank you!

I was debating just like you, blu or hendu. They both look really cool. At the time both of them were out of stock when I tried to order (i wanted the black blu). So I went with Prosmoke, similar to the blu. Saw you tube vids and many reviews said Prosmoke was better than blu.
It was a bad decision. I wanted something to help me cut down my smoke/use when i travel. Well, it just wasn't working. I need some nicotine and with the 18-36mg prefill carts I order they all tasted the same, nothing but nice cloud of vapor. Luckily the customer service was good and they accept a refund less 20% restocking fee (i returned 2 days after I got it).

IMO between the two, I would choose the Hendu.

Magus, the plain and simple fact is that you are the big exception when it comes to liking an under-performing PV like the Blu. I just don't want some newbie to read your advice and think the Blu is one of the better PV's because it's not. And you answered much when you stated you don't like throat hit, lol. Again, you are in the vast minority NOT majority when it comes to wanting a decent throat hit from their PV. And your dripping comparison (Honda - Kenworth) makes no sense since both work well for what they were INTENDED to do. All good PV's should provide average to good consistent throat hit and flavor over a reasonable period of time on a charge. The Blu just doesn't do that. And on the dripping point, why would I or anyone want to have to be limited to no more than 2 drops and vape right away (people do get distracted) or worry about liquid getting into the battery?? In this world when everyone has many trials and frustrations to deal with, one shouldn't have to worry about how they vape. It should be easy and carefree. Maybe you should right to Blu and offer to write a 5 page "Do's and Don'ts" on how to vape with their product. For most of us and our better PV's we don't want or need the hassle. I'm done.

I would def have to agree with you on the blu under performing. And if you do decide to go over to dripping or dipping after 2 drops your atty is full( well if you take the bridge and wick out like i did) and then you manage to get GREAT hits for a min or two and then BAM your battery is flooded with juice and now your blu starts going off automatically and then your blu fails if you don't clean that batt really quickly. Personally I can't wait to get an Ali'i If you feel like you really need something that is going to last and give good consistent vapes with great flavor the Ali'i from rnrmanufacturing.com is definitely one of the best out there right in terms of bottom feeders.

Look, there is not one human being on earth that would keep the Blu based on price/performance. Not to be rude, but it is that simple.

With that said I think people that buy SS for the name are tards also - unless funds are a non issue. It is 4081. If you like the 4081 it is likely great. If you do not like the 4081 - you won't like the SS. It is honestly as simple as that.

The 4081 is NOT good for everyone. I do not think it is good for people that smoke 1 pack a day or more. I own the SS Hendu and another 4081. I know.

I don't see what the problem is here, why you're arguing with me.
He is arguing with you because he feels that everyone MUST have a high voltage electronic cigarette.
I have been through this with him myself, more than a year ago.

But he is right, and you are right, so there you go.

Well, he's wrong, because I don't want some high voltage thing. I'm happy with my blu and my 510. I just wish the blu hadn't cost me so much. And he's also wrong for saying that dripping with it will destroy the battery. Maybe if you're a complete idiot about it and just dump large amounts of juice with no regard to how much the damn thing actually holds, THEN it will ruin the battery. Also, overpriced and piece of crap aren't one in the same. Some things are both, but that's not always the case.

Since I routinely recommend newbies start out with a 510 or eGo, I believe your statement lacks credibility about me wanting everyone to use high voltage devices. And for the poster who indicated that anyone who gets liquid in a Blu battery must be an idiot, I would surmise that he just called at least hundreds of Blu users "idiots".

You don't have to be an idiot to flood an auto battery. IF you have quit analogs all together, and are using your ecig as a tool, the day in day out usage of a non sealed battery is eventually going to get liquid in it. Trust me on that one. If it's an ecig you break out every so often, then it would be much easier to keep it clean. Some juices are thinner than others. This can play a major role in being a messy experience. That, and when an atty quits wicking, it is much more likely to be a leaky mess.

It's really funny to me with the amount of badmouthing products that goes on here.

Reviews are just personal opinions, and opinions are like buttholes... everyone has one and they always stink. What is good for one person usually is not going to be the perfect thing for someone else. To be quite honest, the start of vaping is the most expensive until we as individuals find something that works for us.

When you hear/read a movie review by the so-called experts, just because they say it sucks, doesn't mean it does. Yes, it does gives the person insight on what to possibly expect. I own a Blu, it got me off analogs, and now I am ordering something different as a "main" vape and keeping the Blu as a backup. What I don't like about the Blu is the fact that the only carts that give a decent vapor/flavor is the Classic Tobacco. Everything else sucks. But hey, thats my own opinion.

You're right, my mistake, you feel everyone must have a manual battery.
Not that I really disagree with you.

Thanks for updating your statement. And yes, I do believe the manual batteries work consistently better, with less issues than the autos. And I believe this position is well supported by the vast majority. It's a shame the heavily marketed brands only sell auto batteries. I can't count the number of people I have talked to who tried one of these auto brands, got tired of the weak performance and inconsistency and went back to analogs. Their opinion was that PV's were just your typical "gimmick" that doesn't work. I believe that many people don't have the time or patience to look further than these few brands. To me there is no logical reason why these brands would not add manual batteries to their inventory other than they are just in it for the money and nothing else.

I didn't say "everybody who floods a battery is an idiot." What I said is that if you're a complete idiot about filling the thing and just keep dumping large amounts of juice into it, then you will definitely ruin your battery. I've gotten juice into the threads lots of times, but never into the hole. They all work just fine. I'm not particularly careful about how much juice I put in it, but I know what's too much. I was worried originally because of all the fear mongering about "omg, you can't drip with the blu," but I soon found out that it's not that big of a deal, Considering how I'm not all that careful about it, I deduce that you pretty much have to try to flood and kill your battery. If you disagree, then I have to wonder how you can pour liquid into a glass without it overflowing...

Oh, one other thing. In regards to how many drips before my blu atty gets flooded... I have removed the wick and bridge, so there is no longer any sort of buffer between the juice and the coil. It gets flooded faster and more easily than if I were dripping with the bridge and wick still attached.

Also, in this case, I'm talking ONLY about blu batteries, not any other autos. 510 auto batteries are MUCH easier to flood for some reason.

I just read this message from a new PV user yesterday in another thread which would seem to apply here:

"Can't thank you all enough!!

Ok, so my eGo kit and supplies just came 2 days ago from Litecigusa.com. I can't believe how freaking incredible this PV is!!!!!!!!!

It BLOWS away the Blu!!! If I have one regret it is purchasing the Blu in the first place. I am so glad I found this forum because if i had not, I probably would have given up on vaping in the first place and still be smoking regular cigs from this day on. It is amazing how well this PV works and it shows just how bad the Blu sucks!

I wish that the makers of the eGo and the corresponding suppliers were able to advertise as well as Blu so that many more people new to vaping would stumble upon the eGo instead of getting sucked into buying the Blu. I am sure there are a ton of people, like myself, who bought the Blu thinking it would do what their claims say it does, only to find out that it sucks, and then end up back to smoking cigarettes again, never to realize that vaping can be what we all expected it to be in the first place................"

For every one Blu user who is persistent enough to search further and find an "effective" alternative to smoking such as the 510 eGo, I'm afraid their are 5 or more that simply "write off" vaping as another gimmick that doesn't work due to trying the Blu.

I agree lots of people here will try to convince you to start out with something big. But I think it depends on how you smoke and how convenient it is for you to charge batteries during the day. And not everyone wants to vape something the size of a magic marker. I was a 1.5 pack/day (lights but harsh ones). I'm using a very small PV with a nice PCC to recharge my batteries during the day and doing just fine. But I also was not one to take huge drags of analogs. I know my rig would probably not satisfy someone who did.

If the Smokestik is an RN4081, there are people who like them. They're a bit longer and thicker than a cigarette and a video review i saw said it put out good vapor. The comparison matrix says it gets 250 puff/battery, 100 puffs/cart.
Comparison Matrix

I considered trying one but I don't think you can get them with manual batteries. Most people here seem to recommend manual batteries for PVs unless you need to vape hands-free. A lot of auto batteries can trigger from wind, etc.

The kr808d-1 have automatics that work on vacuum. They also have a draw very similar to analogs. I have large 900mah manual battery 510 pvs but I love the kr808d-1 when I don't need huge battery life, and they also have a pcc available. I use mine with cartomizers, so it's like plug and play.
