Hi All....I'm still fairly new to vaping, and haven't purchased any cartos for my new 510 yet. I am no liking the tank cartridges it came with at all...as I'm mostly tasting plastic. I know cartos is the way to go, based on a lot of what I have read...I'm just not sure which to go with.

Which is better, the Boge or SmokeTech cartos, and what are the reasons for your opinion? If you know a good vendor that has the best prices for either, that would be great to know as well!

Thanks for the help!

Hi and welcome,I just bought some Smoke Tech and I'm pretty impressed with them.I got mine at ecigexpress but I don't know if the carry your type.

Great - thanks! I will check there. I'm so confused buy the whole "ohm" and low resistance thing, so I'm assuming I will play it safe and go with standard resistance until I actually understand this stuff better!

My favorite cartomizers are Boge 2.0 ohm cartos to go with eGo or eGo-style batteries or 3.7v devices. To clear up confusion, here's a chart which tells you what resistance goes with what devices.

This is a HUGE help - thank you!! I've been reading so much and trying to absorb it all, but its not that easy! Seeing it one place like that definitely clears it up. Thanks again!

Haven't tried the Smoketech but my Boge 2.0 and 3.0 cartos came in and I tried them today with both my eGO and 510 batteries. I'm really impressed with the 2.0s....great vapor, fantastic hit with 24mg tobacco (Desert Ship) and good taste from both the eGO and 510. Drawback is I only got about 1.5 hrs use out of a 510 battery.

3.0s Weren't as impressive on the vapor and hit aspects, but really mellow and cool taste with the 510 battery....battery lasted just shy of 3 hrs. Also mellower and cooler vape but better hit with the eGO battery.

The Boges are great cartos. I also have some Boge XL LR 2.0s....magnificent hit, clouds of vapor, but really hot vape and subtle deterioration in the taste department. Have only used them with the eGO and VEC batteries.

All above were used with 24mg Dekang Desert Ship tobacco and my pick is the standard Boge 2.0s. I like the big hit and vapor....taste was good. Using them with a 510, load an extra carto and carry two extra batteries and a PCC if you take them on the road all day. With a 900 mAh eGo battery, just take an extra loaded carto.

EDIT: After the experiences with the Boge XL LR 2.0s, I'm waiting to become a bit more adventurous or inebriated before I break out a Resurrector 1.7.

I found a big difference between the actual eGo and "eGo-style" batteries. My actual eGo's have lower voltage and vapor production than my "eGo-style" batteries, which are Riva 510's. I use Boge 2.0 cartos on them and am happy with the result.
Got both at Liberty Flights - the Riva 510 kit is dirt cheap and high quality (well, mine have been), whereas you can get the Boge cartos cheaper elsewhere.

Hope this helps a bit instead of adding any confusion to the issue.

I personally like the smoktech better. To me, the draw is looser because they aren't packed as tight. They wick great for me in a tank and seem to be easier to punch than the boge. I use single coil 1.7ohm from ccv, with shipping and the code, they're only $1.33 each. I don't use multiple cartos filled with multiple flavors. I usually have only one or two in use at a time. Unless they are performing too well, I try to change to a new carto every Saturday.

What code are you using?
