AMICUS CURIAE BRIEF IN SUPPORT OF PLAINTIFFS/APPELLEES

Pursuant to Fed.R.Civ.P. 29 and Circuit Rule 29(b), the Washington Legal Foundation (WLF) hereby notifies the Court if its intent to file an amicus curiae brief in this case in support of Plaintiffs/Appellees.

Good group indeed ...

Very interesting First Amendment approach regarding FSPTCA related FDA regulation of modified risk tobacco products ... :thumb:

That is what I am looking for. Someone who is going to really tell it like it is without any "cheeleading" garbage.

Sun

Maybe I'm being a bit dense here, but are you suggesting that anyone who is not doom and gloom is offering "cheerleading garbage"?

Yeah, there was a rule change about using "colorful" language in videos. I have to be careful what I post in here going forward.

But, one can always click my YouTube signature here and subscribe to me to get the latest in rants. ;)

We all know you Jim. Place would not be the same without you. Appreciate your efforts Jim.

I'd say we got our asses handed to us and the more we sit on our hands and do nothing the more rights we'll have taken away, passive activism and sideline cheer-leading aren't going to win this battle, it's time for vapors to join my suit against Health Canada and the FDA go over to the legal section of this thread and pledge your support so we can get the ball rolling.

Here and back
Can we start a fund (escrow/trust?) where everyone on this forum donates $10, $25 or more and are ENCOURAGED to do so, perhaps a star next to their avatar to indicate compliance /donation. I'm grabbing at straws here but we need legal fees and must be seen as a force to reckon with. So far we're all about noise on the internet. Let's show some teeth.

Sun, Kristen, Bill, Voceaek, JerryRM???? Any ideas??? I'm ready to pay and support.

Agreed I'd even support se/njoy if they are willing to see this through and would like our financial assistance.

I'm not a supplier, and my green isn't all that serious, but it's a good idea. It gives people with a tight schedule (like me) a way to participate directly beyond writing letters, encourages them to pay attention and educate themselves on the issues (everyone wants to know how their investments are faring), and if the thing is well organized and the goal clear, and the pitch is strong and all over the forums, it might raise something worth something. The star or whatever is a good idea; folks like to feel visibly part of something - motivation isn't exactly stellar at this point, nor is awareness of what's going on. (There's, um, a connection there.) Whatever it takes.
I'm in, with my little beans - a no-brainer.

Thanks Big Jim--You know what we really need is some of "your take" on what is going on here. That is what I am looking for. Someone who is going to really tell it like it is without any "cheeleading" garbage.

Just a random thought here, but what about appealing to a different audience? Maybe a video geared toward those whose loved ones are smokers and an explanation of what the FDA is attempting to withhold from them?

That's also a great idea, because that would target a much larger audience than simple targeting just those that smoke. And those that smoke would get the message at the same time.

You read my mind. :) That is the theme to the next video I produce. No f-bombs, no "rants" just facts. (and if I can keep my dog from humping to death his pillow like my last video, maybe I can get rid of the comic relief factor! LOL)

My last video (almost destroyed by my dog) was explaining what the electronic cigarette is. I gained a lot of new subscribers lately and my views on my videos has taken an upturn lately, so I wanted to make a fresh video on the PV.

But seeing I do my videos "live" with no editing whatsoever, anything can happen..... and it usually does. Hopefully my next video will be better than this one. I even finished the opening sequence intro video. It came out great. :)

Great Idea big jim. Give em facts and the people will respond. Maybe we get on skype one day and trade some facts around. Nicotine is a poision and we should stress that if we cant buy from companies that know what they're doing;then when we ( consumers) mix our own juice; that people may die from an overdose of Nicotine, for the first time in 65 YEARs!

Short of like old time television you mean. Flashed me back to Red Skelton shows where something came out wrong and he just played it into the show. However, I can't recall one where a dog humped a pillow. :)

Your dog ~ in his own subtle doggy way ~ was only offering his commentary on the FDA. :D And I agree with him.

Good doggy. :p

I think I'll send you a pillowcase embroidered with the letters FDA.

Better still. Make a sweater for the dog embroidered with "FDA" on it, and send a pillow case embroidered with the words "American Public" on it.

The effect is what we're going through. 8-o
