So I got my first e smoke yesterday. At first I was dissapointed because after charginf the batteries all night, I put it together and got absolutely no smoke. I took it back and they gave me another atomizer. After that it worked well.
The only dissapointment is that the juice does not last long at all. The sales guy told me that each cartridge was the equivilent of one pack of cigs. After going through 3 of them, I would have to say they are the eqivelent of 3 cigs. I thought there was a problem with it so I went back to the mall again to exchange it. The sales guy told me that I had to use the liquid that I bought the night before to refil the cartridges. He filled one for me and it was much better after that.
All in all, my only dissapointment is that the juice burns really fast. I think I payed 30 bucks for the little bottle of juice. I have heard that there are other vendors that are much cheaper.
So my question is, what do most of the users here use? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

My first recommendation would be to buy a different e-cig. No worries, I started with SE as well. There are all sorts of different juices out there, check out the threads. I started with Johnson Creek. They offer a nice starter pack with 10 small bottles of juice

Juice - Johnson Creek Sample Pack v2

You can start with something like that, see which ones you like, and go from there.

I'd also recommend some refillable carts. JC has some that fit the SE product

Accessories - E-Cigarette Mini Cartridge (DSE103 - Pack of 5)

They also offer a larger starter pack with loads of stuff, including carts.

The carts are often out of stock though, I can't remember the last time they had
801 (pen style) carts in stock.

hope that helps

Hey Trashman, thanks for the reply. After reading a lot of threads on this site, I see that my SE is probably not the best buy on the market. But at least it's working now and it gives a ton of smoke as long as there is enough juice in the cartridge.
I did not see any Marlboro flavor juice on the jhonson creek site :( but some of the other flavors do look interesting.

You can order cheap from Heaven-gifts.com Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop or Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail. They both have excellent customer service, shipping, and reputation.

Another source would be Home - Rocky Mountain Vapor you have reached the mountain top of electronic cigarettes! as they are located in .... Colorado obviously and they offer FREE shipping for orders more than $14. The consensus on ECF is going with a 510. I still think the 4081 is a beast, cheap, and lasts really long. But everyone on here will tell you go with the 510.

Either one is usable with the PCC (Personal Charging Case)--which will charge your batteries on the go for up to 4-5 times.

Personally, I think it's totally obscene to spend that amount of money, and then just throw it away and buy something else. The SE Gold is a model RN4081, and spare parts are inexpensive. You can learn more about it on the RN4081 Forum at;

RN 4081 *Super Mini* - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

And also keep in mind;
It's all a matter of technique in the beginning. E-cig's are no where
near smoking a regular cigarette. The style is completely different,
and each model has it's own technique.

No matter what model you decide on, you'll have to learn to use it.
The bashers will tell you that "This is better than that" - "This
has more problems than that" - "Buy this" & "Buy that". Listen or
don't. It's your choice, but no matter what you have, you'll have,
to learn technique. Once you master how to drag, how much juice
to add, and how your unit works, you're on your way.

Learning is the key, and it takes some time. Many of us here will be
happy to help in the learning process. Just keep in mind that if you
spend #10.00 or $1,000.00, the device will give you trouble until you
learn to use it.

A Ferrari is no better than a Yugo if you don't know how to drive.

If you're really unsure about something, or afraid to ask publically,
Send a PM to the person of your choice, and help can be made in
private, or just ask away here, for more opinions.

Cheers;
jd

Thanks for the advice Jim. I thought it was a 4081 from some of the pics I saw on another thread. At this point I have no plans to get rid of the SE. I spent way too much money on it so I'm not just going to thow it out. At least I was lucky enough to have bought if from that mall that is only a couple miles away from me and the sales guys there have been helpful and gave me no problems when my first atty was bad. They just replaced it with no questions asked. He even told me that if I had future problems to just bring it there and he would take care of it. Although it is nice to know that there are other less expensive places to buy replacement parts.

There was a learning curve to e-smoking, but I think I have it figured out now and my SE gives monster hits as long as I have juice in it.

Extra attys are a must. You can get 4081 attys for $5.50each, so when you get ready to place an order for supplies, don't get taken in by the SE folks. They're grossly overpriced.

So I took a look at Heaven Gifts website and it looks like they have all the accesories and parts that I could need for my SE. It also looks like I could have payed about $40.00 to Heavens Gifts instead of the $150.00 I payed for the SE at the mall.

Now you can kiss SE goodbye. And if you move on to something different, that 4081 makes a good backup, with cheap parts.

Jim, I didn't mean to imply that he should throw it away. I was just trying to tell him that the SE device was less than satisfactory.

I still have mine, and still use it. My 510 did arrive today, so probably not as much :) It's been relegated to taking it to my friends and relatives to show them the light.

Thanks for the info on the replacement parts, much appreciated.

I didn't think you were telling him to throw it away, although some people say that outright. There are people who love it, and people who hate it. It's all a matter of personal preference.

I don't push this model as good or bad. I just give them the option to keep it running cheaply if they decide to do so.

Lucky! I am in Washington, and I called to order mine, the woman said they don't deliver to Washington because it was not "approved for sale" or something along those lines here yet. So, I ordered it to my parent's house in Chicago, and they will send it to me.

Schultz;
As we are discussing in this thread, SE is very overpriced, and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Try it when you receive it. If it suits your needs for the time being, check out the RN4081 Forum for cheap parts at;

RN 4081 *Super Mini* - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

Since your SE GOLD model is a RN4081, there's no need to pay SE's inflated prices if you decide to go with it.

Cheers;
