I've been loving my reo grand been vaping for atleast 8 month's but for the past month I started smoking again. It started out after coffee, and dinner. Now im smoking 4-5 cigarettes a day coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I use to smoke 2 packs a day. Maybe it's because my wife is still smoking idk but that is not a good excuse. Have any of you gone through this? I could use some words of encouragement. I also lost my job a month ago maybe that is another reason

Sorry to hear that. It is understandable as that is a lot of stress placed on you.

What mg. nic are you using? Perhaps going up a bit may help. Also, how about getting your wife into vaping. Has she expressed any interest at all?

Hang in there. At least your not doing the 2 pad that you were! You have a lot of support from this forum.

I can get why you'd slide back. Stress doesn't help when you're trying to kick an addiction. As much I don't like the taste of cigs anymore, there was something about the inhale and the feel of one that is hard to fully replace with a ecig. Just need to treat it like an addiction...stay away!!

And I agree, get some juice with a stronger hit and in a higher mg. It's exactly what I do when I am jonesing for a analog.

Yikes....that's rough. I was the same as your wife...and to be honest, I don't know how my husband was able to stay quit for the 5 extra months it took me to adapt to vaping. But the stress isn't helping either. Just remember to celebrate the ones you don't smoke, and take it one meal at a time. Up your nic level and give your Reo a thorough cleaning. Take a breath...unwind. You'll get there. :)

It may seem obvious but when you get that urge to smoke pick up your Reo and vape it hard. THe urge for the cigarette will pass very soon. Do that every time you are tempted and as times goes on the urges will get less and less. And as other said up your nic %. If you have two Reos have one with a higher % for these types of situations.

I didn't touch a stinkie for my first year of vaping, then started smoking a couple a day. Told myself just one or two day wouldn't hurt, but that quickly turned into 3 or 4. The shortness of breath, hacking at night and ashtray breath rapidly returned, making me despise myself with each one I picked up.
Got back on track after making a post very similar to yours, upping my nic and jumping into REOvil when the urge to smoke hit.
Getting a new REO helped too. :)

I honestly have found the urge still hit over the last 2 years when really tough things would happen and hubby still smoked until this last 2 weeks. I found taking a walk not only helped reduce the stress but helped get passed the urge to smoke. I find the longer time goes by I get the urge more and more to walk when things get really tough instead of lighting up. I can NOT do the stinkies anymore due to health.

You will have an easier time getting another job as a nonsmoker and vaping can truly be cheaper while you are unemployed :) My heart goes out to you it can not be easy (hugs)

I quit for about a month then hit a high stress period and started smoking again. Made me mad at myself. Finally set a firm quit date, got all my vape gear straightened out and actually looked forward to that date. When the quit day came it was easier as I was following a plan and it worked. Now for stressful periods, I give my Reo some hard use!

Earth for now.
Your situation is difficult and I am sorry to hear of it.

I keep falling off that danged wagon too, heck last time I fell off I the wagon ran me over so that I could not catch up and jump back on. Took me finding the REO for the wagon to come back around. As the driver past by I hit him in the head with the pack of stinkies filled with rocks causing him to slow to a crawl, I jumped on, only this time I am stapling my pants to the cart so I can't fall again.

All joking aside, I have fallen back to smoking on a many occasions as some times life is not as fun as we intend and stinkies are easy. I am currently working toward quitting myself. My wife still smokes and has no interest in vaping to date. I currently have a few a day, because this is without a doubt the HARDEST thing I have ever attempted and I am one of the addicts that truly enjoyed smoking. A REO owners support team sounds like just the thing to help. The people here are just so nice and supportive, ya know.

Since getting my REO I smoke far fewer stinkies than I ever have and find myself not going outside more and more. I truly think that if I can get the right mixture of juice and proper coil so that it is as enjoyable as I once found stinkies I could quit them coffin nails forever and support may even make it happen faster.

Haza, sorry to hear that bro. No big ole huge deal. You can find satisfaction in vaping beyond that you'll get from cigs.

Here's what helped me: after smoking your last cig, wash your hands and brush your teeth.

Now wait as long as possible - like quit smoking cold AYuss turkey. Then when you can't take it any more, grab your REO and get after it :)

Questions: do you have a juice you really like or do you struggling with finding something you like?

Do you like rebuilding?

You CAN get back on this bike and ride it like you stole it my man.

Must agree with those who say get more nic in your juice.

I started at 36mg. Could not do with less.

Also, I found that I needed to vape a LOT more than I smoked. No waiting an hour like with a cig. It was only working when I vaped every time I felt the need for a cig.

I really think the high nic and the frequency of vaping I did is what kept me away from smoking.

You will get there. Some very good suggestions here for you.

We all want you to find your way to that day you do not need a cig.

It will come.
