smoktech dc tank/riva 510 issue

I have a small issue that I really have no clue what's happening. Basically I have a 3.5ml Smoktech DCT that's supposed to be 1.5ohm and two riva 510 batts. The tank gets a very burnt dry vape on one of my batts, yet it works as intended on the other batt. I'm new to the 510 and so far didn't have any issues before with the cartridge/atomizer setup. Anyone able to give an explanation as to what is happening or what I might bw doing wrong?

Do you have to draw harder on one battery vs the other? If so maybe you have an issue where you are not creating enough suction on the lighter drawing battery to get the juice flowing. This could be due to a difference in thread alignment. This is just a guess and if that is the case I don't know how you would fix that issue. I will say that since I started vertically slotting my cartos I have had far fewer issues with dry/burnt hits.
