Yes they have...
It took me one search and less than 15 seconds to find several reports. Here's a few at madvapes....see reviews near the bottom of the page.

Your link goes to some single coils. And, yes indeed - LR single coils are a much higher risk of blowing a coil and a short will take out an eGo MOFSET pretty much every single time.

Oops...big mistake...sorry about that.
At any rate, I'm still finding reports, and the point remains valid.

because i have trouble getting the acclaimed hv hit off of these on my provari, just sharing that i pulled a couple of iken Fusion 801 cartos off my shelf (2.5 Ohm)... and have to say, that even at 3.7 (true voltage), they are great!!!

almost on par with dripping... clean, smooth, full vapor and taste... and i hear they do well up to 4.2 v.... unfortunately (of course) they are out of stock right now...

I can turn my provari up to 4.2 with the coils and I do not even see why you would want to go higher its like 6V with both those coils that hot. I just do not see anything that is better than the coils at the momment and I have tried pretty much all thats out there. The only down fall is the battery life with these.

i can't go higher than 3.8v on my Vari's ... and the vape is warm and crackley, but not smooth and full like the Fusion...

Indeed. I didn't mean to infer it isn't a valid point. eGo batts are generally reliable and not what I'd call fragile, but I have a few dead ones lying around. I can't blame the DCs for any of the dead ones (yet) but I've found a few ways, including running LR stuff, to kill eGo batts.

I consider batteries to be disposable items. I've been working with different sorts of rechargeable batteries for a pretty big portion of my life. One thing has remained constant: They all fail sooner or later. You can do things to extend their lives sometimes (including running them within whatever their spec is and avoiding stressing them with too much use or heat) -

Now and again, one or two will surprise you and perform well for extended periods of time or even just to the end of their expected life-cycle. When it's all said and done, though, they're all going to fail at some inopportune time.

That's how I consider these 510 batteries... disposable. The funny part though is I hit on them for less time with the dualies than I would with (say) a 2ohm carto. It's like a quick draw, very similar to a cig.
It's like that hand held battery powered drill, where that screw is just stubborn, and your straining it to get it in, except you use quick blasts to get it to move.

Finally ready to retire my first 510 battery after 5 to 6 weeks of use , or at least put it on a 2.5ohm carto and see what life is left in her. It's went from a 1 1/2 pack of cigs worth of draw in power, down to a 1/2 pack. $9.00 shot. No Biggie !
The plus side is the carto is still hanging in but is near gone as well. Great vapor but the draw is tight. Time to dissect.

Throw the coals to er.

Anyone order the 2.5s yet and crank them up?

I don't plan on trying the 2.5s. maybe the 1.25s once they are available in a few places and the price comes down. Maybe even the 2.0s for 6.0v.

Something you might be interested in. I remember you saying something about the DCs being a game changer and that you expected other manufacturers to take this idea up quickly. Well, Iken has sent out a few DCs to people for testing. I haven't seen any details or reviews yet, but I think opinions will start popping up soon.

I just got some 2.0's in, does that count? I'm testing them now on my Ego's and 5v box, so far so good. The 5v box wouldn't even run the 1.25 duals I have but it's happy with the 2.0ohm duals. I'll bet the batteries on the Ego's will be much happier as well.

Are the 1.25 ones good? What kind of juice or PV would work best with these ones?

All the ones I have are 1.5. I vape them on a Provari so I can dial them up or down a little depending one what juice I'm vaping. Normal mixes I do are 50/50 pg/vg for my tobacco flavors, and 80/20 pg/vg for the fruity ones.

In late April I ordered 10 of each, 1.25s, 1.5 black, 1.5 clear. There is not a big flavor difference. TH on the 1.25s is better. Clears tend to carmelize some juices very quickly.

My advice would be to use 1.25s if you like a stong tobacco type juice. I love Gorilla Juice and Boba's Bounty, Applewood and Cassablanca, and Clint Vapewood and Joogler's Blend in them. 1.5s will bring out the flavors in fruit and bakery, without a killer throat hit, yet they still perform well with tobaccos. The clears are good for most juices. Not sure what caused the carmelizing, may have been a combination of sugar and hot boxing. You can clean out the clears and reuse (they come apart).

Note, I use a 3.7+ SLB 1100mAh. YMMV

edit:just changed out my (all day) Gorilla Juice after 4 weeks. Much better hit with new carto. I will change from now on every two weeks.
