Does anyone know of a ecf link/ or you tube video for micro coil building for beginners?II want to build a micro coil or coil for a Clouper Z4 rda tank. I can't sub-ohm at the moment. My lungs are compromised. I can do 1.0 and above for now. I was thinking about pre-built coils that are sold for the subox mini since they are comparable.

Any more winners?

I have google fu'd but too much info. Just wanted to see if you guys had a simple guide here at ecf.
Got to go for awhile. Be back later on.
Thanks in advance for any tips.

Energy Storage Module is a fancy word for Battery Back up

Just to give you an idea of the money Sony makes just off these back up systems,

First you might want to buy the Sony Olivine Controller for storage systems for around 1.215,38 € or $1355 US dollars.
So you control your back up battery.

Sony's 1.2 kW your looking around 1.314,20 € or $1465 One of them Sony articles I read they sale or estimate they sale 30,000 of these a year :?:

Sony Olivine LiFE-PO4 Energy Storage System 4.8 kW cost from anywhere from 6.724,80 € ($7496) to a nice 10.216,60 € ($11,388)

1 Megawatt hour (MWh) = 1000 Kilowatt Hours (Kwh) or 1 kW = 0.001 MWh

So if people are paying over $10,000 for a 4.8 kW what do you think a 1.2 MWh (1200 kW) would cost

This is something that pretty much any company that uses computers would love to have when the power goes out.

They you got to remember all the Laptops, Electric Cars, e-Bikes, flashlights, toys, and so on, that these batteries are used in.
Right now I think the vape industry is a tiny blip on Sony's radar,
and I hope the day comes where the vape industry is so big that Sony starts making and selling Batteries made just for mods. :)

Coils in general are easy to wrap what type of micro coil are you trying to build? In my orchid I did 2 2mm 8 wrap coils I can't remember the guage I think it was 26g kanthol and it was around 1.0 ohm I wrap coils on precision screwdrivers then cut the ends equal and grab them with a pair of pliers and pull as I push the coil together twits the screwdriver shank you can look up a lot of coil builds on YouTube that will give you a basic idea, is it your first attempt at making your own coils?

This is the first vid that popped up  I got a ton of hits on post about them on ECF.
I seen some people don't use torches anymore, but I think that's up to the person building them.

Thanks! I have been told that cotton bacon has no cottony aftertaste with a fresh wick like cotton sheets do. Do you find that to be true? To get rid of that sucking on a wet t shirt taste until a fresh wick gets broke in would be great.

I find that the Shiseido cotton pads have none of that taste, unlike the KGD -- on a fresh wick, the flavor might be just a bit muted for 5-10 hits, but none of that cotton taste.

Yep I never torch when I build I just wrap then pulse (dry fire) and pinch lightly with tweezers or for coils like the one above I use curved needle nose pliers the torching helps with springiness but it doesn't seem to bother me unless your going for a true tension coil I don't think it matters that much

I have some knowledge base. Not a lot tho I tried rebuilding Kanger pro tanks when that was the rage. I failed. I thought it was insane. LOL I also tried a igo-L but never asked for help. (Ego?)
I do have a few sheets of japanese cotton. I will have to order some kanthal because my Clouper came with another type of wire.
I probably will order a ohms tester this time. I'm also looking for a decent vendor who would have all this as one purchase.

I like kidneypuncher.com and yes if you are going to build a coil PLEASE use an ohm meter and to figure out what you want to build play around with this
It will help you decide what wire you may want also and is one of the best pre build tools it's always extremely close to what you build will come out to too look at all the different tabs too there's help for almost everything Vaping related on there

Hello everyone! Long time no post! Have there been any new winners? Any confirmation of the winner information being sent to Smok? An official list? And...dare I say it...shipping confirmations?
Nope :( I figure with the Holiday in China and here in the US it will be Tuesday - Wednesday before we hear any news
