The mixed messages is only that some people jumped the gun, and started bugging the heck out of a company well prior to the deadline, and that its taking a little bit longer that they expected.. that isn't really mixed messages at all in the end..

I don't get where you say some jumped the gun as the only mixed message. I have not bothered MV at all, any and all questions I have asked have been in ECF, but sorry, when I get told 5 different things from the same 2 people, the people that should be able to answer questions, then yes that is mixed messages.

Sorry but I don't know about asking here on the forum. I have never asked even one question because they posted everything on their website..

and everything on the website is still fine, with the exception of the overseas people getting their shipping started late.. US shipping was never supposed to begin until this week in the first place.. they stated so clearly on their website that US shipping was waiting until after the deadline which was the 21st before any addresses would be given to madvapes..

The only people who are waiting over long are overseas..

and the only thing I have concerned myself with were the updates on the Smoktech website.. they said they would give periodic updates on the website, which they have so that is what I pay attention to.

I don't have a clue why anyone is asking any other questions to be honest.. but that is just me. What is on their website I figure is pretty official, and if the wait is a bit longer I got no problem with it, nor have i felt the need to ask anyone anything outside of periodically reading their site.

Most of you seem to feel that is not good enough, the why I still don't understand.

What they posted on the web site originally was for the drawing part only, not for the ecf part, so those of us who won in the ecf part of things were told many different things, all conflicting.

Such as the deadline, there were different deadlines. The drawing one which was the 21st and the one here which was prior to that, SJ gave us different shipping dates, prior to smok posting on their site.

What I want and expect, is straight answers.

Hi... I also in the the rain forest we call southwest VA. lol.. so I understand desiring to know when it might come. However, I feel the need to say a few things here.

The first thing Smoktech ever said was that there would never be any shipping information sent. Lets highlight that.. never. We knew that going into this contest.. Madvapes is saying they will provide us shipping and tracking information of their own volition, which is quite kind of them, so we will know when it gets mailed, and what day it will come simply because they are treating us the same as if we were paying customers. They don't have to do that..

we won.. its the nicest newest thing on the market, and we aren't having to pay a dime for it.

Second, the first time Madvapes was contacted was the 11th of September.. 9 days prior to the "claim your prize send us your shipping information deadline".. (Who does that anyway when you know factually at that point that Madvapes wont even have the shipping information for over a week? .. but I digress..) At that time, 9 days prior to the deadline someone decided to call Madvapes.. okay, so they didn't know about the contest yet.. but who cares.. they are the main dealer and provider for Smoktech in the United States probably under contract with Smoktech.. they don't have to know that early that they will have some extra shipping going on.. but they were uninformed that early, when people started calling them that early.. the only problem there was idiots jumping the gun.

It makes perfectly logical sense for Smoktech to want to know just how many extra units Madvapes will need, prior to making certain that Madvapes will have enough in stock for shipping to the winners.

I called Madvapes yesterday and spoke to them via phone conversation.. I did not email them - so you know. They said they were only waiting on Smoktech to send them a list to start processing orders and shipping out - they have some data entry to enter into their computer system; ie: all our information, that is that is the processing part - They are having to do all that by hand prior to being able to purchase shipping for the packages as that is all done online. I don't know how long it takes to get a new shipment in, but it probably wont take that long for Madvapes to get the kits, and they already have some in stock, so they are going to enter everything into their computer system, then start shipping, probably beginning with what they already have, then shipping what has come by the time they have that part finished.

Madvapes are not worried, therefore neither am I. It is only a couple days at this point since the deadline, and we have been given something we were told in the beginning we would never get, and that is shipping confirmation via email. Again, they do not have to do that as we knew we wouldn't get any at all going into this.

Thirdly... They had our kits already ready.. yet you have to understand, these again are the newest latest and coolest thing going right now, and they are literally flying off shelves.. people cannot keep them in stock and are hammering Smoktech for orders. Paying customers always come first. This was how they advertised a new product, and the advertisement worked. Now, they are trying to keep up with paying orders, as well as deal with getting everyone who won one of these their kit which includes giving every winner enough time to make a claim on the prize.. They are literally being slammed right now, and for that its time to have some measure of patience.

The mixed messages is only that some people jumped the gun, and started bugging the heck out of a company well prior to the deadline, and that its taking a little bit longer that they expected.. that isn't really mixed messages at all in the end..

Its idiots being impatient.. at this point, everything is on track, just take an extra few days. Dern thing is free.. if you want it today then go buy one and give your dern free one to someone else for goodness sake!

For free, I can wait til Christmas.. and Ecig over there wants one if anyone cannot wait and decides to go and buy one instead.. bet he is happy to wait til Christmas too.
I've been in retail a good portion of my adult life. When dealing with a manufacturer doing any kind of Promo the product was sent to us and earmarked months before the promo. We would get cases of product labeled for a specific promo. come promo time what ever the criteria was when the customer met the criteria boom they got the promo. IMHO before this thing ever started Smok should have had however many items they were giving away plus 10% to allow for shrinkage and defects set aside, for the ones they are shipping and the balance sent to the
"American service center" as the winners are announced on a daily basis the information is transmitted electronically to Smok who in turn immediately dispatches it accordingly. By the time the contest is over people are already getting their prizes and posting praise on the thread. It's good for them and good for the forum. Its not a difficult task to accomplish. Further more I was also involved with employee giveaways and never had to wait longer than a week or two for prize. When I won my gold belt buckle it had to be custom made and only took 2 weeks to get from overseas. My whole point her is this was and is being very poorly handled by primarily Smok.

What I see or saw on the website was that we were simply included in the whole shebang.. we are part of the 250 winners, and being treated the same as the rest of those who won through social media.

Sure, straight answers is fine.. but apparently they said they would periodically update the website with those answers, so I have looked there and everything they are saying on their website is holding true for us as well..

I am not trying to be a B, but I am just straight forward in the way I speak. It seemed to me that officially everything, even our answers and our updates came through the Smoktech website.. therefore I looked there.

You want answers through the forum, okay - we are two different people is all. But as I did say, they are updating their website .. and that's holding true. So if you want an official answer, might try looking their as well.

Take care.

and its also the first giveaway contest they have ever done.. be good to allow them a learning curve is all. Once you do something once, you learn from it, you grow, and you try to correct any mistakes the next go around.

Perhaps they haven't any people in their employ that have experience with this sort of thing.. takes time to learn - and most of all, it takes experience at it.

About me, I just gotta say. I cannot afford to run out and buy one of these, not by a long shot. Getting one for free is the only way I can even consider using this product right now.

I for one refuse to look a gift horse in the mouth, and I aint gonna piss people off so they decide it aint worth the effort to give me the chance at another in the future..

Thats just me, you ones do as you please. I plan on sitting back and being happy when it does come, no matter how long that takes em.

Good day.

To winners:
We’re sorry for letting all of you wait for such a long time about your prize.
Firstly, time for us is very limited, because we gave all prizes the fine package, this package process cost a lot of our time. Secondly, there are so many orders, it is a tough work for us to deal with, it also need enough time. That’s the reasons why the prizes do not be sent out on the date as they should. But we do believe that good thing takes time, your long time waiting will be worthy.
As we said before, winners in U.S., prize will be sent by American service center and now the prizes are on their way to Madvapes, after they arrival, Madvapes will send them to U.S. winners respectively, while other countries will be sent uniformly by SMOK from China. Today we’ve sent out 30 prizes of other counties, please pay attention to receiving. The rest will be sent out gradually.
Anyway, we want to express our sincere apologize to all winners, we’ll appreciated for your understanding.
thank you for the update becca

Free or not, a little profesionalism is expected.

Nothing wrong with expecting honesty and good business practices from a business.
Especially one as large as Smok.

I see we can expect this type of attention to detail in their quality control, and this level of professionalism in their customer service if we have problems.

Doesn't instill any confidence at all.

I'd love to have that little Mini X-Cube and the Mini TVF4 for taking out with me. The original is really just suited for home use (or cloud comps) so having all the great features in a smaller size would be wonderful. And all the coil heads are interchangeable, another plus. Think I'll start saving for that one.

Speaking of cloud comps, I was browsing SMOK's site and came across this global cloud comp they will be doing sometime in November. There is a short survey you can fill out for your chance to win 1 of 5 Cloud Machine kits. There is no affiliation link, so I hope it is not a rule violation to post it here. If so, feel free to remove:
