It doesn't even make it far enough down to contact the o-ring! Think I'll have to look for condoms for chuff tips...Try putting a thinner oring on the drip tip. Sometimes the orings are too thick
So am I just wrong? got the o-ring off it looks stepped I would think the thinner side would face up from the base for it to seal correct?

Not sure what all the Hub bub is all about on Scratches, etc. This is a China mod and smok in a bit of a Lower end Supplier. about 95% of the Mods I have gotten out of China have some sort of Scratch/Mark/Damage. It seems the Norm out of there. They truly believe in NO WASTE. If it is built - Ship it.
Anyway, I'll get this open in a few minutes and give it a once over. First things first

Hope we can find good replacements of a different material. I believe Heat, rather than Cold, works best with these.(soaking in HOT water)

Bahaha, went to try to unscrew the tank and the whole top of the tank came off, the glass and all is still connected to the bottom, got the top part back on, but can't get the bottom unscrewed, the top just keeps popping off.I put it in the freezer, we will see after a few minutes if I'm going to have to wait for hubby to get home to get it unscrewed.
I the meantime, I'm vaping away with another tank on the xcube.My daughter is fascinated with the lights, said it looked like a night club..

Mine had a little chip on the top edge of the glass too and the o-ring was messed up as well. I'm vaping with it and so far no leaks, just need to get some o-rings fast because I don't think it's going to hold up long.
For those that have used the tank for a while, does it take a tank or two to break the coils in? So far the flavor isn't all that great, I'm using my favorite juice and it's not up to par with other tanks I use. I know some coils take time to get up to snuff. This little tank is very thirsty, you can see the juice level going down as you vape it.

I believe the flat side of the oring sits on the bottom and the glass goes in the sides coming up.
I am not entirely sure as I never completely took my oring out - but I am pretty sure that is what I saw the last time I had it apart and looked in there.

Break in period, yes and no. Basically it depends on your juice.
If you are vaping a high VG juice - say 80-90% or better - you will need to break in the coils. Start somewhere around 50-60 watts and take a few puffs and increase in 5 watt increments is how I do it. If you are vaping high VG at high wattage (over 80 watts lets say) you can actually draw the cotton dry and cause burning / chemically taste. It tastes awful you will know if you do it.
If you are vaping a 50/50 or 60/40 VG/PG mix I have not seen a need to break in the coil. Pretty much get it wicked and go with it.
Re downloading didn't work. I have Android 4.4.2, bluetooth found the mod easily. App isn't working. Sent an email to Smok.
It's back together I think I got o-ring right time will tell, Gonna dump some juice in it get her primed and give it a try
Personally I don't notice that much flavor difference between the triple and the quad coils. I use the quads because they are ~$30 for a 5 pack and the triples are ~$40 for a 5 pack at my local B&M store.
I will say that it seems to me that the triple coil wicks thicker juice better then the quad. I had problems with some 85-90% VG juice in the quad coil that ran fine in the triple. Thinning the juice out to a 75-80% VG mix resolved my problems with the quad.

Yea. I try to support local businesses. For a few extra bucks the guy is employing at least a half a dozen people. Super friendly and a great place to get some information. Guy will talk to you for an hour or more about anything.
Have no problem dropping the few extra bucks to keep the money local.
