What device are you on? Any luck finding a different Version of the software? Any permissions that need set?
Samsung Galaxy S5. The 2.5.0 is the latest version of the software, and the only option on my phone. It asks for permissions, gave them when I re downloaded.

I'm enjoying the tank and mod. Finally found my sweet spot at 90watts. Good thing I've got a stockpile of my favorite juice cause it's sucking it down fast. I might need to find some cheaper juice for this thing. Too bad I don't like cheap juice.:glare:

My mod didn't have any scratches on it at all. I was surprised because some I have saw are really scratched up. I'm going to get a wrap for mine. It's not quite the fingerprint magnet my SnowWolf is.

Forgot to say THANK YOU @SmokeyJoe SMOK and ECF for the awesome contest!

I've decided to use the TFV4 to get rid of my DIY creations that aren't my favorites, but good enough to vape. :)

The biggest issue with Android is the oems they like to screw with it and add their own crap. It is why a lot of stuff will work fine on one and not the other. Google doesn't touch the os of any phone besides the nexus devices. They handle a few service things but that doesn't mess with the radios and what not. That is all the device maker. Another issue is that they all use different chips that act differently.
What would be helpful is to pull the logcat and send it to Smok. It will tell them what is going wrong and will help them fix it.
The app needs the low power Bluetooth and even if the device has bt4 the oem could have disabled it. I have a fitness band that is in the same boat. People have issues with it connecting on some devices. The rom(os) I use on my phone works fine with both but I have used roms that the band didn't work in. Same phone same version of Android just different makers that used diff settings

I sent in a report from the "app not working" button, and an email. I guess we'll just have to wait.

No I mean is there two Smok/SmokTech?

Like is this device made by the same company who made the Magneto?
"Smok" is the brand name, owned by the company "SmokTech" ..... SmokTek <---different spelling is a company name for someone who sells vape products.

Could those with the issue of the Android app closing or not working try this app to make sure Bluetooth 4.0 LE works on your device. If it doesn't the Smok application won't function.

BLE Checker 1.0:

I think Smok didn't do their homework and simply allow all devices to download the app instead of only supported devices.
