My Bluetooth is version 4.4.2 and works fine, even found the mod, just can't do anything with it because the APP Smart BEC isn't working.
I wasn't saying that it's the only problem, but I think it's a common problem.
You have an S5?
If you could grab a debug log I can look at it and probably see what is wrong.
Been working with this a bit. Using the supplied 3 coil head, if set to temp control (where the only choice is Ni), it appropriately jumps back to watt mode. Nice feature, can't mess that up. However, using a dual Ti coil, It still does not offer a Ti mode. Only the Ni mode, but the next screen is the TCR so I imagine I can change it. Can I assume that it is upgradeable to offer the Ti and SS preset TCR's?
With the TFV4 and 3 coil head, it does vape very nicely. Lots of vapor, and cool at 40w, warm at 70. Don't think I want to take a new coil above that for now.

The TCR of Ti is 40, not sure what the format on this device looks like. Is it 0.004 or just 40?
I wouldn't know how to grab the log on it, but I appreciate the offer. (It's a business phone where my most usage is scrabble with my brother and texts,if it rings it means I have to go to work, so I rarely ever use it) I'm confident Smok will get the bugs worked out soon.
I wouldn't bet on Smok getting the issue worked out quickly, too many devices out there. Maybe it's just something related to the Samsung TouchWiz interface and they figure it out on the next update.
I wish I had one of the devices, I would reverse engineer the protocol and do my own application. I am betting it's just using a plain serial interface.

You should be able to change the TCR on Ni to 40 and vape Ti with no problem.
The TCR of Ni200 should be 69, and Stainless Steel is about 10 - 15 depending on grade.
After about a tank full I have mine vaping quiet lovely at 90w. Tank gets pretty hot, but my juice taste fabulous.
I'm also loving the lights, such a cool feature.
When I first started using the tank, I started with using the Ni air coil on it. For the first half tank, I got that distinct metallic/cotton taste. Once I went through that break in period, it has been working like a champ.Mine had a little chip on the top edge of the glass too and the o-ring was messed up as well. I'm vaping with it and so far no leaks, just need to get some o-rings fast because I don't think it's going to hold up long.
For those that have used the tank for a while, does it take a tank or two to break the coils in? So far the flavor isn't all that great, I'm using my favorite juice and it's not up to par with other tanks I use. I know some coils take time to get up to snuff. This little tank is very thirsty, you can see the juice level going down as you vape it.
