Hey guys,
I attempted to build a microcoil with 30 gauge kanthal wire in my octopus today, and I noticed that the 30 gauge wires are too thin to be trapped in the holes of the posts. It seems that the thumbscrews don't screw down far enough to clamp down on the leads of the wires of my coil. Upon screwing all the way down, the thumbscrew doesn't seem to stop turning. It just goes as far down as it will go into the post, and it continues to turn (???). On a side note, the vapor production is great, and its doing everything that drippers are supposed to do besides having a wobbly coil.
Does anyone have any idea what types of screws are typically used for rda posts? I was planning to just get a longer screw in lieu of the thumbscrews, and hopefully that would screw down far enough to clamp the leads appropriately.
I have a suspicion that they are"m2" screws, as sold on Screws for RDAs (M2-4mm length) - Sun-Vapers.com
But i have no idea what an m2 screw is, nor the faintest clue of whether they would fit the octopus. If anyone has experienced this with the octopus, please share how you resolved this problem!!
Thanks in advanced!
