Got my Natural half an hour ago :toast:

Got a Samsung INR18650-20R inside it right now and it drives a Boge 1,6ohm DC carto quite nice but the voltage drops noticeably. Later tonight I'll bust out my sand papers and sand the contacts and put some Noalox on the threads.

Not threading at all.. But only Genesis NV that won't thread.. all my other attys do not have this problem..

But it thread no problem in Vamo and Lavatube

Hmmm. The only way I can think of to figure out the problem would be to check the threading on everything. It would be great if you knew someone with a tap and die set you could use. Good tap and die sets aren't cheap. Still, you may be able to pick up a 7mm x .5 tap locally for less than 10 dollars (US, sorry, I'm not sure of your currency) and use it to clean up the threads on the natural. That's what I would do, anyway.

Where are you guys getting your Noalox? I live in a very rural area, so I doubt I could find any locally. I'm not sure where I would even start looking. Is it something that might be found in a hardware store?

Lowes and Home Depot carry it. Ace Hardware might have it too.

edit - I forgot to mention that Noalox, Penetrox, and Oxguard are all the same thing. It's just anti-oxidant compound.

Ahh.. the fact that it won't thread on my Genisis NV makes me piss off.. i bought this mechanical mods to use it with my NV actually, and now the only way i can use it with Genisis NV by using 510 adapter, and it really look very ugly..

I have check with everything in my arsenal, only the NV that won't thread.

I don't understand what do you mean by "tap and die"

Sounds like u have a bad thread there... have u tried getting some cartos in and thread it there? Ive seen some post in this thread that having a problem with their did clone on the natural but he threaded it with the cartos till it finally work... might try that... also the pin is adjustable maybe try to back that pin down... hope it helps...

A tap is used to make the female threads, a die is use to make the male threads. You NV has male threads. What s14sher is suggesting is to use the tap to re-cut/clean up the threads inside the 510 connector on your Natural.

7 mm x .5 High Speed Steel Bottoming Tap - Amazon.com

However if everything else will screw into your Natural and your NV will screw into all of your other devices I don't know if it will help or not.

@ Vaping Turtle...Well the voltage measured before was about 3.54v under load with a 1.0ohm coil..... after sanding it went to 3.90v. So it went from 12.5 watts to 15.2watts.....a difference of 2.7watts....YMMV

It definitely is worth taking everything apart and sanding down all the contact points if you are going to be setting up super low res coils. IF you are going to be vaping at 2.0 ohms it won't make a dramatic improvement.

What do you mean by can't screw on? Can you start threading it and it won't go past a certain point, or you can't even get it started? If you can't even get it started but all your other atomizers screw on then the problem is most likely with your genesis. Btw, which one is the NV?

I just received The Natural by today, but not all my atomizer can threat in the 510 connection.. My Genesis NV won't threat in there, but my AGA-T+ no problem. Do you know what could be the problem?

The threading on the Natural's 510 connection is, to put it nicely, crap. Smoktech's sort of got a history of not being very clean when it comes to that part of their mods. A lot of people have the same complaint about the Telescope. I've got several atty's that don't like to thread onto my Natural, and they're the same ones that hated my Telescope.

The only real solution I've ever found is to just make them thread. Screw them on a little, back them off, wipe the connector on the atty, blow out the Natural's 510 connector, and try it again. After a *lot* of back and forth (the worst case I've had was my AC9, which took three hours to work down to flush), you can get stuff to thread. It gets better with time as the rough spots in the threading are worn away.

That really looks good on there. What kind of sandpaper/what grit are you using?

On aga t+ I started with 220 with water but lightly sand till I see some scratches then I followed it and finish it with the 800... and it smooth out nicely then applied stainless steel polish to finish it off...and no water on 800 just plain sanding...just dont go crazy on it just stop till u hit how u like to look on the natural :)
