Unlike the Provari pricing however the Zmax is bound to drop even further and will once again provide for a better value proposition. At $100-120 I don't think it would be priced too badly considering it offers dual battery configuration and VW. Also let's not forget that comparison to Provari pricing if you're a U.S. customer is a far cry from what it costs the rest of the world. In many cases shipping, taxes and duty pushes the Provari close to the $280-300 and not everyone can spend that on a PV. A black satin with blue LED and end cap totalled $287 in my case when all was said and done. So for potential customers outside the U.S. the Zmax pricing in comparison to Provari can be seen as considerably lower than the often quoted $50 difference.

I think at the end of the day what we are seeing is people comparing these mods in varios factors, durability, power etc. But this is not a provary or a darwin. Is it an alternative? Maybe but remember this is not an apples to apples comparison if it is right for you great. But all of these mods have there strong points and weak points.

a) It wouldn't fire a 1.25ohm DC but did fire a 1.5ohm DC. I also used a 1.7ohm SC in a tank on it.

b) Smoktech doesn't ship with batteries or a charger so that's your local vender. ie. We've got no idea what charger or batts you are talking about. Generally flat top IMRs are fine. Flat top, unprotected ICRs wouldn't be so cool.

If you're after pure amps you might stear towards the VMax.
Thanks for the info skipdashu, by I was taking about yhe batteries that came with my lavatube v1, apparently 2000mah red things, but they have no branding, and the charger that came woth the lava tube, single bay, again no branding or markings.
So in a way I have no Idea which batteries or charger I am talking about, but was just hoping the might get me started with the ZMAX for now. Thanks again

Jackbox sir addressed that for new users. Have the i4 charger as well, along with a pila and a xtar sp2. On that some note if vmax owners already own the vmax, what really is the point to jump to the zmax if your vmax is still working? The two are very similar in performance, and while you're getting again slightly better build quality and variable wattage, is that worth $125-130 dollors more (for just body and cap)? It's something again that only the end user can answer. What made the vmax a great mod was the price to performance ratio, what hurts the zmax is the price has gone up in a way that for a new person just getting a mod, charger, batts, etc. it's been priced in a way where it's not the best in that aspect. It's older brother the vmax still holds that crown.

Oooo,Ooooo,oo0OO0ooo me, me ,me let me answer that 1. Ummm because vapers are Freggin' NUTZ !!!! It doesn't matter how many mods, Prova's, Max's, GG's, Reo's, etc.. a or some vapers have....they all want the latest and greatest. Theirs no real logical reason why someone has 2 Zen standards but plenty do...or 2 Orion V2's...but they do. My opinion...it serves no purpose. But to some this isn't just quiting smoking to save money (me) it's a serious OCD hobby.

Sounds very much like a generic IMR 18650, probably a flat top. A good batt for Zmax use. Battery fresh off the charger it should read 4.0~4.1v in the Zmax under menu option 4.
