Know it's not going to be the popular statement sir, but the vw feature is pretty much a gimmick at this point. It does the math (ohms law) for you. Only issue is there are less options due to it being .5 increments, and the fact it's not accurate....

One person's gimmick is another's useful feature. I'm sure there are those who feel VV is a gimmick too, as you can always construct a coil to meet your desired output...

I love my Vmax (that's why I ordered a Z) and I have had them all (most high and low end) APV's. Don't love em all, but use the ones I love. Smok has come out with exciting product in these "max" items, and it's a great thing; to have so many choices actually... kind of hard on the newbs today that are on a budget though.

btw, I use my V at 3.0 setting very often... its magic. I'm old school and usually go with LR.

If nothing else, besides the "magic" of max, I'll certainly be using Z VW for a change of pace.

It's the old saying reality is based on perception. If you feel you need vv or vw, then that's all that matters. Really do like the zmax, just have a hard time seeing it as much better than the vmax. The biggest difference between the two is slightly better build quality (especially on the button), and the use of a single batt instead of stacked. It's a step in the right direction, but until they address the accuracy it's still a work in progress.

I personally believe VW is where all devices should aspire to be primarily due to the fact that it takes into account all the idiosyncrasies of atties/cartos changing ohms and self adjusts to maintain that constant state of power. I like my mechanical mods as much as the next person and have touted ohms law more times than I want to recall over the last two years.

I use one juice as my ADV, and for me it works best in the 8 - 8.5W range. Anything more and it starts to taste off. It has been my ADV for the last two years, and so I am tuned to any changes in my vape. I seldom stray from it, and that too just to test out juices that are really popular from other vendors. Then, it's back to my ADV.

To me, VW is the pinnacle of customizing ones vape experience because it is pretty much a set-it and forget-it technology regardless of what atty or carto you may choose to use.

Once the manufacturers out there figure out how to accurately get devices to work with VW, I do believe it will take over from VV as the norm in PV technology.

OK, I have to ask - What juice are you using that good enough to be an ADV for two years?!

You guys don't want the Zmax to be an accurate device in the future huh? I sure do.

There was a story at Vaporwall, someone on a Hungarian forum worked out a formula for the Vmax that corrected the PWM issue, which in turn he sent to Smok. Apparently, he heard back from Smok that they would implement his formula on the second iteration of the Zmax and told him that it would be a very "precise" device.

I don't know if this is true or just a rumor - we shall see!

Review from Scott on Youtube;

In his comments under the video;
both are excellent and the Provari has been my main vape since it was 1st released. but since ive had the Zmax that is the one ive been reaching for all the time :)

OK, I have to ask - What juice are you using that good enough to be an ADV for two years?!

Geoffs Blend from Tasty Vapor.

Description - A curious and complex mix of flavors. Lovers of Geoff’s Blend describe it as a cross between Big Red and Juicy Fruit gum. Of course there’s a little more to the recipe than that, but Geoff likes to keep the rest of it a secret. One of our best sellers for good reason!

From what I know of it, Geoffs Blend is a mix of some of their already Premixed juices, Atomic Cinnacide, Banana Nut Bread, Butter Rum and a couple other secret ingredients. Nothing has come close to replacing it in the last two years as my ADV and I've tried probably over 100 or so popular juices from different vendors. The only other juice I keep on hand in small quantities is Tribeca from Halo. I have about 60ml of that. Current Geoffs Blend stock level is around 700ml in contrast. ;)

Yeah, it's that good!

Think back on what you may have changed. As my vaping devices developed, it was very hard to throttle them back to lower levels (8 - 8.5 watts) which seems to be the sweet spot for GB. If you went past 9 or 9.5, you would rapidly lose the essence and sweetness that defines that juice. Could something like that have happened?

Sounds like mad stuff - got to try it!

Do you get it with the sweetner and have to tried the 2 and 4 oz doublers?

Yes, viewed Scott's vid review....I don't put much stock in a review when the device is not adequately checked to see if it performs as advertised....notice he said nothing about the pwm issue being discussed....
