Well let's say it ..the Vmax and Zmax have a bad rep!! You know why ? Cos it's compared to the PROVARI " I know that smoktech put t out as a P killer " yah right :p " but the thing is ... If you want a VV and now a VW mod ,now you can just with a 100 dollars or in my case euros ..you don't have to spend 200 if you can't afford it or better cant wait!!

The z/v max are good for there price tags .... LikE a PC is good too , but nothing compared to a MAC !

You get for what you pay ..that's it ! They bought do the job ...now we have the RMS meter and we would know what they pump out so to be more careful not to burn atty, cartos or what ever..... And if you want to vape on 3 -3.7 v. Go for an EGO STYLE BATTERY ok. :))

Actually Freddie a paperclip is the last thing I would use. With most Genatty's the wick hole is somewhat small. With the DiD and even the knock off DiD/DuD, the wick holes are much larger in comparison. I actually own a DiD. If I made the mesh small in diameter, inner and outer, I would get little to no wicking. Per the diameter of the hole hole you want the biggest diameter wick the hole will allow. Example: Store bought tiny straw or huge McDonalds special. You want the latter. You want the largest Inside diameter you can get for optimal wicking. Use a drill bit or something along those lines to roll your wick. Also you don't want the outside diameter to rub or scrape the walls of your wick hole when you push it into it, that will compromise the oxidation and lead to shorts. You want about 1mm of loose play when you put the wick down in the hole, that keeps the I.D and O.D. as big as possible. Jim, the creator of the DiD, actually made a video showing how to make the wick pretty well and he uses the allen key/wrench that he sends with the DiD, If I'm not mistaken it's a 3mm allen key, it makes a nice big open wick that wicks better than most Genatty's out there. That's 1 of the main reason's the DiD was mush better than most of the other way overpriced Genatty's...well that and how simple they are to build and setup. I posted a perfect process on oxidizing wick just for the DiD a few pages back. Just remember...bigger inside diameter in your wick keeps wicking effortless.

Theirs also a DiD thread that has some great people on it that can answer any question you have with all the perfect stepsto get the most out of your DiD or DuD in your case....just don't tell them it's the Knockoff....they might get a bit fiesty, lol.
Hahaha...I will put my Mini DID Clone up against the REAL DID and YOU wouldn't be able to tell the DIFFERENCE in PERFORMANCE GUARANTEED and YES I compared BOTH Gen. Attys side by side...NO DIFFERENCE!

VaPNJ350 do you truly wish to go down this road with me? I know you get a lot of leeway in these threads, you've openly attacked other vendors (thought that was a non no), gotten rude with others, go off topic from the _max more than anyone else to talk of rba's and the like. Seriously, give it a rest. I'm supposed to trust this so called ecd meter from a video on some other forum you've seen to make out to be the ultimate testing device over a real scope? Sorry sir, in the words of Chip Chipperson That don't make no sense!

And CCV did have it listed as .1w incriments when they first listed it on the site, something you should know better than anyone else.

And quite honestly there has been more posting in the V/Zmax threads about attys lately than information about the PVs.
Attys, Cartos, and Rebuildables on the V&Z MAX, what's your point! As VAPNJ, fuzzi, kurtus, pwyll, and a whole bunch of other group members have posted about them and their performance on the units!

Are you still posting the Vavg numbers ? Which is absolutely incorrect data. Just curious. It's already been shown and proven by the ecd meter that the Vmax is running a full 1 volt higher than the output setting. In order to get the ""TRUE"" voltage output you must do the Vrms claculation (not reading the Vrms off your scope screen). Are you and Electrical Engineer or have any electronics background with chipsets? I'm curious.

Also CCV does advertise in VW mode it's .5 incriments, NOT .1 as you earlier stated.
RMS is a better way than averaging for getting some kind voltage measurement for a sinusoids signal; it’s closer but not good. A PWM Supply’s output is a square wave with changing duty cycle so there’s nothing that can accurately measure the voltage, it’s all artificial. The only thing that can be measured is amps, frequency and duty cycle and even that dependent on how the PID loops are set up for accuracy.

If anyone is interested in measuring the power going out of a PWM supply you measure amps, the number of electrons per second going through your load, but we’ve all taken the easy out and been talking volts.

We don’t even try and measure volts out of a PWM supply if it’s mission critical for the operation of the load (like a paper motor motor or X-ray tube) we put an encoder at the load to measure rpm (or rad sensor for x-ray) and use that for the feedback to control the “voltage” of the PWM output. From those inputs and the current feedback we get the power.

It’s the same for us, we’re using our experience to measure the power and it’s not set up right on these PWM machine, everyone says they hit harder at the low settings, the POWER is off on all of them.

That's right lots have and those of us not interested in rbas have trouble finding information about the V/Zmax on these threads because attys have almost taken these threads over. The post are not just about how they work on the V/Zmax, lots of them are about rbas in general. If you guys don't want to hear it that's fine. There are plenty of threads available for rba talk. By the way I don"t see these threads be over ridden with talk about cartos or any other attachments.

This is just my opinion and no one has to pay it any attention. I have the option of not coming back to these threads to continually read about rbas. Please I really mean no harm other than keeping to topic. You won't hear another word about this from me.

One other note to add, there's a variance from pv to pv with both zmax and vmax from smoktech. My friends vmax gets completely different averages than mine, it's within a .3v +/- avg. again, but just because this person's zmax is one volt higher all the time according to his in line meter, doesn't mean every single one is. Will be the last to say that every single v/zmax functions exactly the same, and anyone who does is kidding themselves. What's the point of doing an unbiased review if all you get for it is flack from people who believe their pv is the greatest no matter what's been shown. THERE IS NO PERFECT PV! If there was, again there would only be one on the market. The question is what is the perfect pv for you. The only person who can answer that is the individual. Have a friend who only uses a silver bullet because he wanted something simple and durable, another who swears by the darwin, another who uses a vv box mod. Ask anyone of them and they'll give you a million reasons why their pv is the best and better than any other. My tech numbers were given soley to show people what to expect from the Zmax, just as when I did a review of the Vmax or any other mod I've done one on. It's not a bash or a slight. It's all a mute point though, because of the fanboy mentality in this thread no slight can be said at all on the zmax. You'd rather it be said it's flawless, greatest pv ever, etc. than the truth.

And again for any potential zmax owners, it's a good mod. Despite the faults those truly interested in variable wattage without spending $250.00+ it's a great option. Has enough safety features I don't worry about it blowing my face off while using it, and for those who only put a mild amount of physical abuse on their pv's it should be able to last for at the very least the 6 months of the warranty if not longer. The smoketech _max series is possibly the best of the chinese made vv mods on the market yet (some will argue about the current genteration of LT's due to their higher durability shown thus far). Just know like with all pv's there are limitations.

I can understand your issue....thus was the whole reason why I made a new 'MAX' thread to show off your MAX's with your preffered "topper" and breif description of what, why , how. So I guess out of respect and comon courtesy to others in the thread let's do try and keep the "toppers" talk "WITH PICS" over in the other thread please.

My sincere apologies for sometimes getting off topic to those that didn't appreciate it.

Heck, I really don't care about all the number and variances in unit to unit. I am a tech nerd from way back when PCs and MACs didn't exist yet and I had to code Fortran on bubble cards and send them away to the school district's mainframe to get a result with errors a week later and repeat until my code worked. What I care about is what result I get on my ZMax when I get it. I won't care what the power setting is and what I am actually getting. All I will care about is finding a setting I am happy with, and having a consistent experience with different resistance devices. If the ZMax can do that for me then I will be a very happy camper indeed. I think most users would agree with me. Who cares what the numbers are. We just want a reliable PV with a consistent and satisfying experience. I agree with what another member said in the Gotvapes Alpha Thread; the manufacturer's should just do away with voltage settings and wattage settings and just have a power meter that goes from one to ten in 1/10th increments. That would work for most people and we don't need these silly arguments over vms, rvms, wattage, etc.
