It doesn't get much more accurate than this... why you would turn RMS off I have no idea?
Just for clarity... 8th menu ANS or NEA..... ANS = RMS on and NEA is off correct?

Wattage testing with a single 18650 and 2.5ohm single coil carto-

With RMS on-

3w- 2.77v, 1.1a, 2.5ohms= 3.06w
6w- 3.96v, 1.58a, 2.5ohms= 6.27w
9w- 4.79v, 1.91a, 2.5ohms= 9.17w
12w- 5.46v, 2.18a, 2.5ohms= 11.92w
15w- 6.09v, 2.43a, 2.5ohms= 14.83w

Without RMS on-

3w- 3.36v, 1.34a, 2.5ohms= 4.51w
6w- 4.29v, 1.71a, 2.5ohms= 7.36w
9w- 5.13v, 2.05a, 2.5ohms= 10.52w
12w- 5.89v, 2.35a, 2.5ohms= 13.87w
15w- 6.22v, 2.48a, 2.5ohms= 15.47w

The RMS function again makes it far more accurate than without, but again it's not too far off with the single 18650 (used a Callie's Kustoms 2250mah panasonic hybrid for this test just as with the prior). Up next are the numbers with 2 AW 18350's.

Actually, I think the 8th menu options are "MEAn" or "RMS" ... you have to use your imagination to see the "M"s since there's no good way to make one with a 7-bar LED. The MEAn option stands for "Mean" for Voltage average, or Vavg, which is the "hot" style readings of the previous Z/Vmaxes; the RMS option is, of course, for V root mean square, or Vrms, which is the new, more accurate readings. As for why one would ever want to use the Vavg or MEA option ... perhaps because you are used to the old readings and have your "sweet spots" memorized in those terms? Otherwise, I'd turn on RMS and leave it there ...

I got mine yesterday and once I figured out the menu I really liked it too.

I know! Figuring the menu out was not an easy task. Thankfully I have the manual because without it, there would have been no chance of figuring it out lol Not for me anyway.

I have to say the v1 purrs like a kitten at 7w on a single 18650. Every thing I put on it purrs vapour into my mouth. It is unlike anything I have ever vaped from. Not sure if the purring is caused by variable wattage since this is the first device I have used with it, but I am loving it so far. I have been using it mostly with Penelope's and an Ody. Every so often the vivi has been sneaking onto it.

Now if I could just break this stomach flu I have, things might start tasting better. Need V2! :D

That and you shouldn't be using anything other than Efest or AW IMR batteries with it also. Anything else will ruin the ZMax experience ime.

Huh? Using a better battery (CGR18650-CH) will "ruin the ZMax experience"?? I'm talking about the stock low flat button top (alias flat top) Panasonics.

Very very early impressions-

1- Still fires after you've pressed the button (as in the screen is still let, etc. not just the carto sizzling), just not as long as the v1. Maybe .25 seconds.

2- Started testing with the 18650 in voltage mode with rms on with a 2.5ohm sc carto- 3v=2.97v, 4v=4.05v, 5v=5.07v, and 6v=5.88v
Without rms on- 3v=4.12v, 4v=4.88v, 5v=5.77v, 6v=6.73v

3- Threading is better on this version for the endcap than the previous version

4- the channels around the tube are fewer (8 this time), shorter (by about 2mm), and the edges on them weren't smoothed out properly. They are somewhat sharp.
Thanx mucho!

This is just an observation and "MY" opinion but.......

It amazes me that for all the fuss V/Zmax owners had over the price of a Provari, there are an awful lot of them that own multiple V/Zmax devices!!!

I've never made a fuss about the price of provaris. I prefer variable wattage. And now I have two. Well one is on the way.... Cue Madonna "time goes slowly, time goes slowly..."
