OK - I'm lovin my cartotank now. Tried al manner of delivery devices, and the kayfun style RBA's are real nice, but low on capacity. For on the go, high capacity, high reliability, I like me some carto tank. The vape isn't quite as good, but its pretty close.
I'd have to say that once I tried a good carto in a good tank, I don't see why I wasted so many months and dollars trying to get a clearo to do a carto tanks job.
That being said, even with low resistance cartos, they fade pretty quick on an unregulated mech. Even a relatively full battery at 3.9v gives me a barely useful 7.6 watts (I prefer 8.5 to 9 watts for most juices).
Thus, I've been using a kick, but its the smoketech clone, and uses a low frequency PWM.
However, in coming months, I anticipate being able to add to the stable, and am thinking about a regulated mod for use with my carto tanks.
SO - since I SOOOOO love the ultra smooth power delivery on my RBA's that a straight mechanical can give *(and I wouldn not have believed there to be a difference until I tried it)*, which among the regulated devices can provide me with the closest thing?
I know that Provari has a good reputation for a "Flat" signal. However, they are still using PWM, just at a very high frequency (something like 250hz I think).
The genuine kick and kick 2 from evolv are said to have a flat signal too.
Then, too, the nivel chip (such as with semovar) has a good rep.
And, to round it out, of course, DNA iterations.
Has anyone compiled the data? Who's got the fastest PWM? (I believe they all use high frequency PWM for regulation).
I want the smoothest, most battery like power delivery from a regulated device. Who makes it?
