OK - I'm lovin my cartotank now. Tried al manner of delivery devices, and the kayfun style RBA's are real nice, but low on capacity. For on the go, high capacity, high reliability, I like me some carto tank. The vape isn't quite as good, but its pretty close.

I'd have to say that once I tried a good carto in a good tank, I don't see why I wasted so many months and dollars trying to get a clearo to do a carto tanks job.

That being said, even with low resistance cartos, they fade pretty quick on an unregulated mech. Even a relatively full battery at 3.9v gives me a barely useful 7.6 watts (I prefer 8.5 to 9 watts for most juices).

Thus, I've been using a kick, but its the smoketech clone, and uses a low frequency PWM.

However, in coming months, I anticipate being able to add to the stable, and am thinking about a regulated mod for use with my carto tanks.

SO - since I SOOOOO love the ultra smooth power delivery on my RBA's that a straight mechanical can give *(and I wouldn not have believed there to be a difference until I tried it)*, which among the regulated devices can provide me with the closest thing?

I know that Provari has a good reputation for a "Flat" signal. However, they are still using PWM, just at a very high frequency (something like 250hz I think).

The genuine kick and kick 2 from evolv are said to have a flat signal too.

Then, too, the nivel chip (such as with semovar) has a good rep.

And, to round it out, of course, DNA iterations.

Has anyone compiled the data? Who's got the fastest PWM? (I believe they all use high frequency PWM for regulation).

I want the smoothest, most battery like power delivery from a regulated device. Who makes it?

The Provari is more like 800mhz. You cannot sense any pulsing. Same exact Vape for the entire charge of the battery.

I've read the MVP2 has a very similar Vape. Way cheaper but many do not like the form factor.

The DNA 20/30s are supposed to be great but you don't need all that power for carto tanks.

I own 2 Provari minis and 10 carto tanks. So of course that would be my suggestion.

No problems with anything you said, but my KFL holds almost 4 ml of juice. I don't think that is low capacity...

For a mod, if you want regulated, get a ProVari or a Semovar if you can afford them. I own 3 ProVarii and 90% of my vaping is done with one of them. I know of very few ProVari owners who regret the purchase.

The MVP is a nice option if you want to spend less. The Kick 2 is a very affordable option as well.

One thing about the kick2 . .make sure it's gonna work in your mod. I have a smoktech magneto and a sentinel clone and it doesn't work in either of those . . . .it fires but it cuts off constantly.

That's odd. I don't have a Sentinel, but the Kick2 works perfectly in my Magneto with 18650 flattops.

I just know that my kfl clone gets drained about twice as fast as my 19mm xl Ibtanked. Maybe I'm burning through it faster on the rba, which I kinda expected, but twice as fast?

I don't know about the clones. Maybe they have a bit less capacity than the SvoeMesto versions.

It does burn up the juice faster, though, I will agree with you there 100%. I seem to fill mine up pretty frequently.

I just got an mvp today and it has worked perfectly with all my tanks(pt-mini, dct tank, t3s, vivi nova, evod) nice display on it too, shows ohms, watt, volts and counts puffs lol.

I understand the MVP is a great device, especially for its price. However, I have my doubts it matches the criteria I am really after. I started this thread because someone once told me that the nivel powered semovar would provide an even smoother delivery than a provari. I filed that away as interesting but unimportant, because at the time I could not really be convinced that it made any difference- I was very much enjoying the vape my 33.3 powered vamo, and didn't think losing the rattlesnake noise was any big deal.

Now, I've experienced the smooth delivery of straight DC from my mech, and the difference is more pronounced than I would have believed. That 'interesting but unimportant' bit has become a point of curiosity worth investigating.

methinks you will soon convert from reonaught to reonaut.

i, too have experienced a good carto tank on the rattlesnake chip... a vamo, no less. to put it plainly, it's very disturbing. it sucks....

i have to say, the mvp2 surely does not suffer from this issue and gives a good output from the beginning to the end of the battery... and that's a long time.

my provarii (plural) were reported as shipped by provape 2 days ago. i will happily report back soon if you're still interested.

I don't think you could go wrong with a Provari. Although as far as cheaper mods go the MVP2 (as stated about) doesn't suffer from the rattlesnake affect and does have a pretty smooth output. I know I'm more than happy with mine. I may own a Provari someday, but won't have the spare cash any time soon.
