I was using a lavatube for awhile, but wanted something smaller more practical, but also HAD to keep the variable voltage. Of course the ego twist was my first thought, but heard a lot of negatives. So I got the Vision Spinner. At first, LOVED it. Did everything my lavatube did, but was half the size, and way better looking (chrome). Actually, I thought it preformed better than the lavatube with my vivi novas.

I turned my friend on to the Spinner, and he quickly got himself one from Mad Vapes. He was not so happy. It worked Great... problem was after about 3 days of use, the button got stuck inside the unit. He obviously contacted Mad Vapes to return it and had a horrible experience. According to him, they were rude, and when he asked to talk to a "Manager" they simply told him that the "manager" probably would not call him back. SO long story short, he had to send back his Spinner to Mad Vapes AND had to pay the shipping which was NOT refunded. He had to wait about a week, without any ecig, and then got another spinner in the mail. He had this one for about 2 weeks tops, and then sure enough, the button got stuck inside the battery AGAIN. Now after another unpleasant experience with mad vapes, he is sending this one back AND paying postage AGAIN. Obviously, my friend was not too happy.

At this point, I had had my spinner for about a month and 1/2 ... and I loved it. UNTIL, yep, you guessed it.... MY button got stuck inside the battery. My battery was over the month warranty and Rather than deal with the experience my friend had with Mad Vapes, I just sucked it up and went to a local store to see what they had.

Here, I found the SMOOV REV. Which is basically IDENTICAL to the spinner. I was actually told by the salesman that they had a huge problem with the Spinners and the button sticking problem. And that the "manufacturer" in China had re-branded the spinner under the SMOOV name and fixed the button problem. Now, I don't know if there is any truth to this story... BUT I LOVE MY SMOOV REV. SO FAR, it is everything I loved about the spinner, without the button problem. PLUS it comes with a free charger in the box! Its got the beautiful rubberized finish and the colors are these nice dark, vibrant colors. I got red and its the coolest "red" i have ever scene. AND it seems to be fairly scratch resistant so far. I've dropped it once or twice and have had it in and out of my pocket with other things, and still not a mark on it. Performance wise, its awesome. Couldn't ask for anything more. The vari volt goes as high and as low as i would ever want it to. NO Problems with the new SMOOV REV so far. I love it, unlike the Vision Spinner and its apparently notorious button sticking problem...

Me too. It seems to happen randomly with no warning. I thought my buddy just was super unlucky and I had a "good" one. But sure enough, took a dump on me right when I thought I lucked out.

My smoov rev .... the bed after 2 days of LIGHT use. I guess it's the wiring. The battery still works, but it won't heat the atomizers. It's not a center pin issue. I guess this is common for these type of 'twist' VV devices. Other than this problem, I have to say the smoov rev performed beautifully when it worked. I'm going to (hopefully) have it replaced, and if I get a replacement, I'll definitely make it my go-to unit. Really nice stuff.

Hey man, sorry to hear about your rev. That's a bummer because after all the headache I heard about the spinners, I thought the smoov was going to finally be a well made battery. Hopefully the one you had was just a fluke and they replace it for you. If it's within the month it should definitely be replaced no questions asked! Your right tho, they are wired horribly. And it's not just the vari volts, it's ANY ego style battery. They all come from china and are made cheaper than McDonald's toys. That's the problem. I have had Soo many ego style batteries, and friends with countless batteries from all different vendors and all different brands. They all break, and all are made cheap as ..... I have one friend that has sent his "pigcig" back like literally 7 times , it keeps breaking within a month or so! Crazy. Makes me want to make my own.

And yea, juicy vapor is cool. They have a super nice, big shop, and I'm cool with Alot of the guys/girls that work their. Very nice place. However I did not buy my smoov from them. I actually bought it from a shop in south buffalo called vapor trails. These guys are SUPER cool and are THE BeSt with customer service. They gladly replace almost anything you buy from there if its giving you trouble. I know juicy vapor isn't too great with returns. They have a strict return policy. But all batteries should definitely have at least the one month manufacturers warranty!

Why didn't you just get a Twist ? Mine work fine. No issues at all.

Got the button problem yesterday with my spinner 1300  It was my last batt. before this 3 of my ego twist died. The all look like new from outside.. Will be checking the smooth rev. I liked the spinner more then the twist.

My first ego t battery,2yo, finally died on me, center pin charging issues. My ego 650 and 1000 twists are still rocking over a year. My 900 kgo is pretty weak, but what's this about joyetech not being good batts? I guess I can press a button better than most...?

This thread has convinced me to stay with my standard (non knock off or variable) ego-c batteries

Hey, you Juicy Vapor fans, I have a potential smoker-switcher relative in your area. What flavors at that shop would you recommend??

@Hallmf66 Is the rev 808 and 510 connection? Heard somewhere it had both inner and outer threads.

I have a iGo VV (808 w/ego threads) from Nhaler. It works great, so I would guess their ego/510 model is just as good.
