My experience was similar to yours when I made the coffee extraction. I think I left it for about 3 days before all the pg filtered through the funnel. I currently have cocoa steeping in VG and expect straining that slurry will take quite a while as well. Perhaps my coffee was a finer grind than what most people were using?

I've done the coffee many times, and left it sit the better part of a day. I start with whole beans and do a course grind with a bean grinder before pouring in the pg.

I've also done the cocoa...sweetie if you used vg it's gonna take a looooong time lol! Not saying it can't be done, but vg is so thick to begin with, and with cocoa you really need to use super fine filter material (I used 2 layers of paper towel) to remove all that powder and get a clear extract. If you're going to use vg, might be better off using a french press or something first, then filter the result again with the filter material??

As an FYI: I tried this tonight. Not sure if I misunderstood, or it was misprinted, but filling a 30ml bottle 2/3 full of ground cinnamon, and then topping off with PG makes cinnamon sludge that can't be filtered with a coffee filter. At least not to any useable amount.

Although, I think the OP has a great idea. I'm currently filtering batch #2 that I mixed at a 1tsp to 10ml PG ratio. That seems to be working much better, and I've yielded about 10ml of the extract in 1hr. There's plenty left to go as I did a 3tsp + 30ml pg mixture. We'll see how much I have in the morning, and whether or not it needs a second pass through a filter!

All in all, the quoted post has inspired me to try something out of the ordinary, and I'm having a blast doing it! Thanks Jimi D! :vapor:

I've made a cinnamon extract but used stick cinnamon. For what you're trying to do, I think the same method as cocoa would be used. See, what happens is all your pg is being absorbed by the cinnamon, so after that happens, add more pg (I don't worry as much about measurements as how much extract I want to end up with...the initial fill is again, absorbed so that doesn't 'count') and let that steep. The free floating pg will absorb the flavor, and that is what will come through the filter. It does take a long time depending on how fine the material is you're filtering out (cin. and cocoa takes longer than tea, tea longer than coffee..), but I've never waited longer than a day..
Hope this makes sense...need more coffee lol!

More on topic, I too would love a really good snickerdoodle recipe, though to me all mst's taste like butter...or butter with whatever the flavor is. Cost me $45 to find that out, but luckily I didn't get much for $45 so It won't take long to vape it ;) And yes....I let it steep. 2 weeks plus holiday shipping delays should be long enough to steep any bakery juice.

I make a snicker doodle with 3% FA cookie and 1% Madvapes Cinnamon Extract or homemade version..

Yes both are very strong flavors.. FA's products are very strong... Cinnamon should just be a hint. I like flavor, not perfume.

Good to know! I haven't used FA to date...but I do have a bottle of Cookie at home ready to go with some fresh DIY cinnamon extract!

I think I came up with the base for the Snickerdoodle but I don't have the right kind of cinnamon so it's without it.

FW Sugar Cookie 65%
LA Bavarian Cream 20%
CA Gingerbread 8%
CA Vanilla Custard 4%
TFA Caramel Candy 3%

It tastes a lot like a rich graham cracker. I think these particular flavor vendors are important because these flavors vary widely between vendors. I love it like this even without the cinnamon but if someone makes it with will they please report back? Also it definitely improves after a day or two.

Works out pretty good and if this isn't snicker doodle well then who cares, because it tastes better than snicker doodle.
Catalan cream is basically Cinnamon, Lemon, and Vanilla in a milky-eggy light fluffy cream base. Try it.

I'll have to try this...I have all ingredients for once lol!

I just love Catalan Cream! It's so far the only cream flavor I've tried that actually tastes like a true, sweet cream.
I vape it straight, and get a sweet cream with a touch of spice. It's a delicate flavor...and if you're still smoking or just coming off you may not be able to taste it. If that's been your history with this flavor, definitely revisit it ;)

I gotta try this . I never got FW sugar cookie cause back when i asked on here people said it sucked and was so weak they couldnt taste it . I was always interested in that flavor though . I could never find a good cinnamon either . Lately though i have been really liking lorann cinnamon roll .

I just looked through all my cookie recipes (FA Cookie is my most used flavor)...
Caramel Cookie:
40 parts FA Cookie
40 parts Capella Caramel (or your fav)
10 parts FA Catalan Cream
5 parts PA Butter
5 parts PA Cotton Candy

I used to make this at 15% way back when, but I probably would try it at 12% nowadays.

Anyway, your recipe is more simple and easy- I will just have to let mine steep.
I did:
4 mls of FA Cookie @10%
2 mls of FA Catalan Cream @5%

Please post your recipe over on the recipe thread so it doesn't get lost in the snickerdoodle thread!
