Packards Club gets a high vote in Iraq also Chococreme

Dhakolia White was voted as a possible means to get insurgents to talk since waterboarding is no longer allowed.

Rooster was voted as not usable as a means of persausion as it would be classified as torture.

A couple of guys (whom I do not know, they are not adoptees) have taken the Rooster and the White and are using it.

They are treating all with respect, sniffing not snorting.

Packards club is in my son's pocket and he is not sharing until I get him more so it seems to be his favorite so far.

Noone has received their package yet, they are sampling out of the last package I sent. Seems the Packards is considered to be a good thing in the nose to combat the smells over there.

Anthony received his package and will be sending a email to his snuff daddy here soon. I talked to my son for about 15 minutes this morning and he told me that he likes the more scented snuffs, and thinks that most of the guys are the same. I guess none of those we sent to cared much for the rooster.

Adams favorites so far are the Packards, the Lotzbeck and funny enough one of those Indian She snuffs (cannot recall which one I sent him).

I do not have any info yet on what Anthonys reaction was to his snuffs other than he is very appreciative and thankful that someone cared enough to send him some to try. Hopefully he will provide more details in his email.

Update

Anthony and my son have both quit smoking thanks to the snuff. I heard from them today! They do not have internet in their big tent at this time, they are hoping to get it back soon.

Both are very thankful for the snuff and are overjoyed that they are no longer smoking!

I have not heard yet from any of our other snuffers

I cannot remember if Anthony belongs to Wiz or OTD.

Update:

DB your box did arrive, it was sitting on his bunk when he got back into the FOB. He opened it this morning. I only got to chat for a couple minutes, I think the power went off (it does that a lot) as the connection was cutoff. But he did say to tell you thank you very much for all the goodies.

For others who have donated. There are at least 4 guys now who no longer smoke because of snuff sent over. Several guys have ordered their own snuff online since trying it out.
My son is one of those who has quit smoking and chewing and also Wiz's and OTD's soldiers. To be honest I was told that they do still smoke but only when going out on missions and that is because of nerves, but they use snuff everywhere else and all are confident that snuff will maintain them once they get out of country and back on US soil.

Again my heartfelt thanks to all who participated in this little project. I hope you are all as proud of your efforts as I am.

Special thanks to DB for waiting so very long for confirmation of his package. We did not know at the time that your soldier would be away for so long.

Anthony was mine DG. Never heard a peep from him, but it's good to know it has helped with the smoking!

Yeh I sent my son all the contacts I received, do not know for certain if the failure to hear news is his or the other guys just not responding. I have gotten little news other than they are using it, they appreciate it and some of them have quit smoking.

Knowing my son I suspect the failure is his in not providing the others with the contact emails given.

Which reminds me, I cannot recall DB if you wanted your info shared or not. If so please pop me a IM and I will forward your email to your soldier. I do have direct contact with him so there should not be a problem knowing the info got through.

My nephew is in Afghanistan as a U.S. Marine, and trying to quit dipping the cherry Skoal. I know they truly do appreciate the care packages, be it snus, snuff, drink mix, cookies, whatever. Sending a little bit of home is the least we can do.

Way to go DG!!!

Thanks firechick
Wasnt just me though, several people on the forum sent a care package to a soldier so kudos to everyone who participated!

And I really do not deserve thanks as my son is over there and I am sort of expected to take care of him, but I am moved and blessed that people who do not know these young men still saw fit to send them a package.

God speed and blessing to your nephew over there, I pray every day for all of them, especially our Marines in Afghanistan as they are doing the hard work every day.
