Snuff, the Dessert of Smokeless Tobacco

I'm home dear!

I have so many reviews I should post but I'm running short of time. Funny how working for a living can do that!

Eventually I'm sure stuff will settle down for me but right now....

I'm just taking a pinch and throwing my feet up

I'll do a review of a few that I've tried this weekend.

Molens Choco- my favorite as far as flavor goes. An almost dark chocolate followed by a light tobacco shop scent. A little coarser than anything else I've gotten, but I think it helps keep it in the nose very well. Not very sweet, which I like a lot. This is one I will allways keep on hand.

Rockit natural, and QWS natural- I'm going to put these two together because they are so similar. Very dry, fine grind, almost no flavor whatsoever. Slightly dusty, without much of a nic hit. Fairly easy to take. I'm pretty ambivalent about these two.

QWS sandal wood. Grandma's house. That is the memory that came flooding back when I first took this snuff. Dry, fine grind. Lightly floral, overall very nice, just because of the memories it stirred in me. Surprising.

Honey bee- nice, slightly sweet, a lot of burn if I take too much. Not much to say that hasn't already been said. I like it a lot.

Swisher strawberry- I'm not sure of it was Wiz, or OTD who described this one to me. Very light strawberry scent, followed by a light tobacco scent. Similar to honey bee in strength, they both give me the niccups if I take them with a snus in. I like this one a lot too.

WoW coffee bits- very good coffee flavor right off the bat, but it fades fast. Overall, not bad, but not a must have for me.

My freebee was Molens Bon Bon- almost moist, hard clumps, coarse. Hard to take because of this. Not sure about the flavor. Pretty ambivalent about this one until I can dry it out a bit, and crumble up the clumps.

Another surprising favorite of mine is the Dean Swift Bezoar. Light menthol, up front but not too strong anise flavor. I've never been too crazy about either flavor, but this stuff talks to me for some reason. Fine grind, easy to take, strong nic hit. I'm liking this more every day, and I would really like to hear someone else's take on this.

As promised(DG),here is a quick review for Dean Swift's Strawberry!

The first thing you get is a blast of Menthol(The good part).Second is an almost sickly Strawberry candy taste....as sweet as anything I have tried yet.Imagine taking Strawberry PEZ,crushing it up,and shoving it up your nose.I don't know why?....but I may actually like this one...Not an everyday snuff...but when I am in the mood for some candy.Hang time(New way of saying lasting power...ain't I clever?)is pretty good....sticks with you for a good 15 or 20 minutes.Nic is so so.This is a flavor snuff....may be good when mixed with some Swisher Strawberry for better Nic.

Overall I give it a low 3 out of 5 Mostly due to the unique(candy)scent.

I am liking that BonBon snuff a lot!

I took it out of the bag and put it in a smash box, then I smashed it as it was almost wet and very clumpy. I let it sit out for a day in the smash box on the counter.

It was much dryer the next day so I poured some into my snuff box and smashed it down again.
I have been using this at least once a day and it is very nice. Nicotine is there, and the scent is of roses too me although i have no idea what scents are actually suppose to be in it.

I'm going to wrap a coffee filter around the top of the container it's in to try to let it dry out without the cat's getting at it. Hopefully it works.

I take a pinch and my cat is in my face just smelling what I've been up to. If he likes it, my nose gets a double sniff from the cat. If he doesn't like the snuff I've just used, he turns and presents me with his ....! 8-o

LOL my cats, more or less, do the same thing! I glad they don't have thumbs because they would to get into certain tins to do a little more exploration

Told me just yesterday he wants to try the Navy out......Something to do with his Grandpappy? He is the Happiest fish on the block!

The first thing that hit me was, although I like it,...but, because of the solid tobacco smell- this is one I really would have appreciated when I first quit smoking and trying to make the transition off of cigarettes and still hunting for the tobacco smell. The menthol is low, but nice. I like it.

Well, I guess the menthol is low...until I do it over and over a few times. I think that is me because my 'pinches' are small until I know what I'm getting into.

As far as smell long lasting...hmmm, I don't so. Now that I'm starting to get my 'snuff legs' it seems like long lasting smells are becomng more meaningful in future buys and reorders.

That particular snuff is on the list sunset.....I am really starting to appreciate the Poschl and Bernards snuffs....seems that little bit of menthol followed by other wonderful flavors is what I am looking for in an all day snuff.Will let you know my comments on that one when I get it!

I may be switching this snuff to a full 5 fins....Really a nice smooth camphor menthol.Slightly moist and very fluffy....easy to take.Flavor seems to hold it's own.Definatly not an overbearing menthol.

YEH I got my order from Mr Snuff!

So far I have tried the NTSU

very nasty stuff, smells like manure, very heavy ammonia smell. I reviewed it in one of the other snuff threads.

and the AP )had to get rid of the horse poop smell)

Nice! Very nice! This one is going to be a keeper.

I have noticed that I have taken a Windmill snuff to work with me every single day since I got the first one, those and some of the WOS seem to be my all time favs.

All the other stuff I use a little here and a little there.

And I got another round to the BonBon as a sample!

Also got a WOS Brunswick, I used up the last of my sample today. This is some very nice snuff.

and a tin of WOS Peach Melba and WOS Best SP

1 FUBAR RnR ( I do not think I will like this, smells very fruity but wierd fruity.

and last but by no means least, a box of Latakia Ao 1860, has a rich tobacco smell to it.


Update on the NTSU
This snuff has NICOTINE!

I snuffed a good pea sized portion into each nostril
I blew it out about 5 minutes later
I took a little bit of the AP just to get the scent out

I have not vaped in over an hour
I have not snuffed in over an hour

I feel the nicotine rush, no need for anything else at the moment, just need to ride this one out LOL

So if you want the nicotine and can tolerate some horse poop up the nose, this is the stuff for you.

Glad to hear you like the A/P and the Ao. The Brunswick is another favorite of mine, but those de Kralingse snuffs, wow. You just can't miss the craftsmanship in any of them!

Well I have eaten dinner and am still not sure if I want any more snuff, I have not vaped anything since I got home.I think I am at last ready to have a little vape now.

The NTSU would be a great all day maintainer if you could just get past the stench!

I have the top off the tin and it is sitting on a window sill, maybe it will air out enough to get rid of the smell or at least tone it down a little.

I think this is South African snuff, wow they are manly snuffers for sure! Hats off to the South Africans who snuff this stuff on a daily basis!
