This is really starting to tick me off! I really want to give the KR808 a go, but the only options I've found are either Vapor 4 Life, but $25 shipping to Canada?! That's frickin insane!

I have found this at AnyCigarette, price is alright, and the shipping is acceptable, but I would really rather get an auto battery. I do like the manual eGo's and 510's I have, but I'm curious about auto batteries, and I've heard a lot of good things about the auto 808, so it seemed like a good idea.

Anybody manage to find an auto KR808 that was allowed into Canada that didn't cost an arm and a leg?

PS. Any Canadian suppliers reading this, take notes, we would love some variety in quality vaping options in our Great White North! The 510 and eGo are solid choices, and you're not likely to go out of business with them, but variety is the spice of life, and all that. Obviously I'm not directing this at ALL Canadian Suppliers, we do have at least a couple diamonds in the rough, here; but by and large, Canuck vaping options are limited.

I posted this in response to someone else's query.. It may help you too.

"Yes, you are correct. I found this info. on another thread "The VK is at its core a KR808D-1 (or KR8). It is compatible with KR808D-1 products.."

Here's one supplier that I found in Canada. They just call the product something different:
http://www.ecigarettescanada.com/ECV92-E-Cigarette-Kit-100mm.html

There's also a vendor specific forum for these products that includes Supplier information. You make have more luck there:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/kr808d-1/47861-list-kr808d-1-parts-suppliers.html

Hope this helps."

As an old school Kr8 user, it's a gamble to bring in the equipment, since, to be honest, it's not the best.

With the advent of 510 and M401 cartomizer models, jumping on the Kr808 bandwagon isn't as wise as it was a year ago.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM.

I honestly didn't realize there *was* a KR808 bandwagon! :) The reason I wanted to give it a go was I heard the flavour out of a KR8 is stellar (oh, and my curiosity toward autos)... do 510 cartos stand up to them? Certainly it would be easier to get either a 510 carto, or an adapter and a couple KR8 cartos, but as I understand it, the KR8 batts actually put slightly more power into the atty... that's more what I'm looking for. I wanna change up the experience a little (I only use 510's and eGo's ATM), and see what else is out there, without going the mod-route just yet.

Maybe the word "bandwagon" was a bit grandiose, but that's what posting after a few beers gets ya.

In regards to Kr808 equipment, the cartomizers do work well, and to try them doesn't really require the entire hardware set up.

Purchasing a cheap 510/901 adapter allows you to use the cartomizers using readily available and more reliable 510 compatible hardware. I would ALWAYS recommend this option before spending any money on hardware.

You are right in that the Kr808 STANDARD batteries put out a bit higher voltage than other batteries, however to be brutally honest, I haven't noticed a huge difference to warrant another investment in hardware. That said, if I were to invest in Kr808 hardware, I would use the XL Kr808 batteries, since those DO give a noticeable increase in performance. The downfall is that they are massively long in size.

In my personal opinion, I do think the Kr808 cartomizers perform better than the 510 cartomizers I have tried, but, like personal computers, advancements are made every day, so what is true right now may not be next week.

On the M401/Smoore front, I recently ordered a M-series cartomizer model for review, since I really enjoy the look, and want to test the cartomizer claims the site makes. More on that later.

Sorry for rambling, just don't want to stuff a bunch of useless information into a post. Lordy knows I can ramble with the best of them...lol.

Do you have a problem with that? :)

What, selling ecigs in Canada? No, not in the slightest - I'm in the states, it doesn't affect me (Other than being annoyed on behalf of my Canadian friends if they are indeed banned). I was just curious because everyone was talking about buying them from Canadian dealers and I thought that wasn't allowed up there. I've got a Canadian friend who I haven't talked to much about ecigs because I assumed he couldn't buy them, but it seems I was misinformed.

I'm cool with that. Didn't know which angle you were coming in at. It is the nicotine that is a control substance in Canada or liquids in general, but especially the nicotine. The equipment not so.

We tried to jump on the KR808 "bandwagon" back when it was rolling its fastest around February/March of last year.

Customs kept stopping our orders because the cartomizers "could" be filled, and it was next to impossible to prove they were not. This was the time when CC was ripping open cartridge packages to make sure they were dry.

Just wasn't worth the effort to get them in, and questionable if it was even worth getting in empty ones because the main value in the cartomizer was to be able to sell them full to customers who wanted zero hassle of filling. Today sales are limited to experienced users who are cartomizer fans, about zero "newbies" are interested in them.

We now have 510 dry cartomizers in stock as do other Canadian supplier. Its my opinion that a 510 cartomizer on an eGO battery will outperform the KR808 with a KR808 bat.

I prefer the Kr808 cartomizers, but prefer the 510/EGO battery. Damned if you do....

I just don't like the aesthetics of the EGO battery with a cartomizer...strange, but look and feel mean a lot, since i use cartomizers outside of the house.

I just ordered a M602c cartomizer kit to play around with it. The battery life is somewhat suckish, but it comes with a smart PCC.

KR808 cartomizer or the 510?

I found the 510 cartomizer fit really nice on the eGO. Used the cone with it, I could be wrong, but it seemed to me it was the same length and feel as the 510 atomizer on it.
