Beautiful Baldwinsville (CNY)
New Philadelphia I believe is the home for both Smokeless Image (Volt ecigs, very popular new-generation KR808D-1) and Altsmoke (a good general purpose vendor). You might want to check them out, see what they have (and/or what kind of brick and mortar presence they have).

Good luck!

I was in a very similar situation. I tried to hide my addiction for over 20 years.
Every year or so, there would be fighting and denial and things would eventually be smoothedo over...I would returned to smoking.
last Sept. I was at a family party and a greatnephew was using a Volcane e-cig. I was very interested. His Grandmother (my sister) bought one for me.
I have been analog free since the first day I used the Volcano.... After 55 years of smoking.
Now I can vape in my hoiuse all day long withoout a word being said. I am in heaven!!!
Good luck in quitting. Tell the spouse that you heard of this great way to no longer crave cigarettes, and put him in the loop

I'm not one to say LIE. But lie a little :) Tell him the craving has been hitting you hard lately so you bought an ecig. Explain what it is. Personally I went with the KGO as my first and couldn't have been more happy. Buy some Stardust Clearomizers and some juice and you are good to go. You won't look back.

Try maybe RY4 in 11 or 18 mg. Then it's juice exploration time.

My 2 cents.

Just saw where you came clean about smoking on this thread. Good job. My recommendation for a better ecig solution still stands :)

that's cold country up thar,,,,,,,,,too dang cold to smoke outside

Yep, that's right! It was pretty miserable, especially when we got snow and the windchill effect, sometimes it used to feel like my fingers were going to fall off and I would go into my car to warm up and then go out in the cold again. It's not fun in the summer either, my hands ended up getting very tan because of the sun and my husband said how weird it is that my hands are so tanned when my body is pretty pale.

I know that you all want the best for me, and you're watching out for my best interest when you're advising me to tell my husband but I honestly do not feel like it is the right time now in my heart. I really want to give it a few weeks and find my way in the ecig world before I can have a conversation with him on this. He is also very grief stricken due to his grandma passing because of lung cancer, and it honestly is just not the right time to have a talk right now. I feel more empowered first figuring things out for myself with the ecigs and then talking to him.

You should do what you feel is best. Don't tell your husband unless/until you feel like it. That's your call.

I can personally recommend the XL manual Vapor Kings from V4L - love them. I also hear great things about the Volt and my current favorite is the KGO. Any of them will work for you. Conversely, I'd advise you to stay away from the Blu Kit (negative reviews) or any of the other non-disposables you see at Wal Mart. To put it bluntly, they suck. Don't waste your time or money.

You are going to absolutely love ecigs no matter which you buy--No more stink to worry about. I can relate to the multiple showers and separate clothes but my 'secret' was outside the home as my immediate family knew. I worked around children multiple time a day. Seriously mind-boggling that you can keep this up.

If you want to continue with the secret from you SO, I'd suggest a PO Box (Mail Box Etc, or friend's house) and buying prepaid credit cards or gift cards if you can't find a local vendor to buy direct. The drug store/gas station disposables may not satisfy you as much as online/real stuff many members here will suggest. You don't say where you live, but we may be able to help you with stores with a location.

Hiding the stuff at home isn't all bad if you SO isn't particularly perceptive or you have other hobbies/work that involves charging batteries. He seems to be gone for most of the day and you'll have plenty of free time now that you won't go to your secret spot.

Always best not to have the secrets, but more important to stop the smoking at this point. Sometimes the secret is part of the allure of the addiction, so concentrate on the most important one first.

the walmart Njoy DOES suck,,but I am sucking it up until my volt comes,,,,,I R E F U S E to go back to analogs even for a week. I'm not even sure I NEED the nic,,,,it's the ACTION of smoking I like,,,,,,,all day today, I've vaped six mgs,,,,,,,no problems with withdrawls.

I totally understand - I think a lot of my addiction is also due to the action of smoking and not necessarily the nicotine - when we used to have a long weekend or a vacation with my husband (and his family too sometimes), I was able to go for days without smoking (it'd be painful and I'd definitely feel the urge but nevertheless I could do it). But the moment we get home and I got a chance to smoke, I would reach for a pack. I think a lot of it is definitely psychological with me and that's why the e-cig is working really well - it's giving me the action of smoking without all the bad stuff.

Well I read his entire thread! Oy!
Bullette the secret smoker here.
So lostsoul here's some info for ya:
Disposable Blu is good. It has 24 mg nicotine.
I think that's why it's so good. Then folks like me buy the kit & the cartomizers that come with the kit are only about 16 mg nic. There's the problem. Not enough nic!
So my advise to you is to get some 24 mg nicotine juice no matter what ecig/pv you buy.
Now...back to that secret smoking stuff...
Here's what I did:
I said to my spouse:
"Honey, I have a problem & I need your help. Please sit down for a minute I need to tell you something ." Then I told my story about how I tried to quit & couldn't etc etc. It was a great decision to come clean & the relationship is sooooo much better because we can be open & honest & supportive with each other.
Trust him to be your partner in life.
Let us know how it goes.

juicejunky, thank you, thank you, thank you a million times for your understanding of my situation! You are absolutely right, I don't want to have secrets, but at this time I'm trying to just win the battle over the cigarettes and I can't fight two battles at once - it will be a very rocky path when I come clean to my husband (despite everyone's good wishes, I know he will not be understanding about this) but I just need to transition over to ecigs now and worry about that later. I don't want to remain a secret vaper forever, and I actually hope to eventually wean off vaping.

I am located in Canton, Ohio and I posted in the local ECF forum to find local retailers. It seems like there are some that are somewhat close (Altsmoke and Smokeless Image) so I'm researching their e-cigs now. But if all else falls through, I may go the PO Box and prepaid credit cards route even though I really don't want to. The most important thing for me is to not smoke an analog again and I just need to stay focused for that goal. I wish I had a close friend that could help me with online deliveries, but sadly enough I don't have any friends that are close enough for me to talk to them about this. I am still pretty much new in town, after having relocated here with my husband. As you mentioned, he is gone most of the day and it is not a problem for me to charge batteries or do any e-cig related activities during 8am-5pm.

They are a reputable ECF listed vendor BUT they don't have the model you're looking for but they do have accessories, eGo kits and juice.
AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Your one stop shop!
Good Luck.

P.S. Rather than just a storefront it's also a lounge.

25 miles from Smokeless & AltSmoke, piece of cake for you. Call first if they don't have a regular store front. You really couldn't live in a better place.

That's great, you guys are seriously awesome!!!! I will drive there tomorrow and end this buying spree with the disposable Blu. I'm sure they'll be helpful in the store too but I wanted to ask you which one of their starter kits you would recommend:

AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Electronic Cigarette Starter Kits | The Yeti, Joye eGo, eGo Dual Coil Cartomizer, Silver Bullet, BB, Omega, Alpha

I want to invest in a good one, so even if it's a high price one, it would be okay. Thank you again for your awesomeness!!!!!

WOWSER talk about 2 birds with one stone.

Oh wow! Smokeless Image has the volt and is not too far from me either. I feel like a kid in a candy shop, super excited!!! Is Volt better than anything altsmoke sells? I read a lot of good reviews about volt so I think it would be better than an ego? But then again, what do I know - you guys are like a wealth of information, support and love - and I could never pay you back but I will dedicate myself to helping others on these forums.
