Wow. Well done. Like many others, I have read this thread a lot, and kept up with developments, but have not felt I had much to add till now. Well done. I hope this is the start of a happier, guilt free you! I too have been a secret smoker many times, every time I 'fell off the wagon' and started smoking again after a break. It is easier that way, because the only answer I could give to "Why on EARTH did you start smoking again???!?" was "I don't really know..." accompanied by an apologetic face. Smoking can take control of your whole life, dictating when you do things, and who you hang around with, and where you go, and how grump you are, and how much money you have left, and whether you wake up coughng and spluttering of not, and NONE of it is good. Well done!!

Ok wow, I just read your mini soap opera. I'd strongly agree with nearly everybody else who mentioned that you should just be honest with your husband. Maybe you live on some strange planet, but "honey, I'm smoking cigarettes again!" isn't really the same thing as, "honey, I started smoking

What would upset me is being constantly lied to over total nonsense, which would make me wonder what else you're lying about that's way more important, and... there's a break-down of trust, which is one of the foundations of having a decent relationship (in my experience anyway).
The amount of effort you're going through to hide smoking cigs, is kinda above and beyond anything I've ever heard of. It's sorta... over the top and far beyond what I ever bothered to do sneaking cigs in my parents house when I was 15.
I'm totally out of touch with the low-end stuff at this point, so I have no personal experience with anything but mods/APVs which are probably not the best place to start, but if you really want to flip the script and switch from cigs to vaping, then I would strongly advise you to load up on the strongest e-juice you can to start, something with a 32-36mg/mL nic level <-- that will take away the cravings.
I never stopped smoking before going to 34mg/mL, then I tapered down to 24mg/mL which seems to hold me at this point. Doing a bs attempt with something like 12-18mg/mL probably won't be enough for most people and you're just setting yourself up to fail. The nic level doesn't really matter, everybody is different, but I'd definitely say go with higher to start with, especially if you're using a sub-optimal e-cig to start off with and see where you're at in a week or three.

Amazing developments to your story lady! I am extremely proud of you. Electronics cigarettes made it extremely easy for me to quit smoking. I'm heading to 12 mg on my next order of juice from 24 mg. Keep it up. I hope you update us when you do tell your husband, I really think he'll understand.
I agree and a must read for both n00bs and vets. From page 1 to page 11 an amazing transformation and until I read/ got involved with this thread never truly understood the pain and stress of closet smokers. Add to that emotional issues with the husband losing some dear family members because of analogs and I now have a more clearer and sympathic understanding of this particular issue. VERY inspirational and it's taught me thing or two...one of which is NEVER underestimate the power of the human spirit.

My best friend is a closet smoker... just never told her mother or family other than her brother (another closet). It's stressful to even watch what goes on to hide the smoking. Coming up with reasons to leave the house and smoke, staying away longer so there's time to "air out", having to blame the smell on someone else (me usually). Well, now that I'm vaping, I really hope they'll make the conversion too. I've gotten her to use it for a day or two and admit it's easier. I just need to get some higher nic juice for her. My 12mg ain't doing it.

I don't see what there is to hide or be ashamed of.
All the lying is just too much.

The thing is Blu E Cigs don't really stink.
In fact, they are the main reason I and many of the other members of this forum are here and have quit smoking.
I still have 4 Blu batteries and I have used them with Boge 2.0 ohm cartomizers and they work quite well that way. You get a nice TH and a nice amount of vapor using those carts along with some decent 24 mg juice.
I am VERY glad Blu continues to be offered at Walgreen's and I believe they play a HUGE roll in recruiting smokers into our ranks.
If anything Walgreen's outta also look into stocking a better PV along with Blu so potential new vapors have a second choice when shopping at Walgreen's.
I have grown tired of folks trashing these mini "first step" E Cigs here at this forum. If it wasn't for 1st step products like Blu and the Mall shops and places like Walgreen's the MAJORITY of folks who are now using Provari's would most likely still be using Marlboro's.
Personally I know I would NOT be here today had it not been for Walgreen's stocking the Blu kits at their check out counters. In fact, Walgreen's along with Blu Cig's most likely extended my lifespan. I would be a ..... to talk poorly of them now.

I have a relative in Ohio, he said their local grocery stores are dumping rotting food in the dumpsters, three days without power.
I haven't used Blu, I understand their disposables are less than optimum, but the "regular ones", (whatever that is) can be refilled. My biggest gripe with minis is that you still have the ability to p!ss off anti-smokers! Some of us don't want to look like we are smoking, no matter what color the LED. The battery life is just a matter of physics.
Still? Greater exposure in mainstream outlets is nothing but good. Mall kiosks and FREE TRIALS are selling old tech and way too profit-driven to be good for the industry, and the future of vaping. We should all be interested in the future of vaping. Wide-spread acceptance and competition will drive the technology forwards by leaps and bounds. If vaping is relegated to back-alley operations, then that is not good for the future. Or us!
