The short wicks are normal for that type of CE-X clearomizer so don't worry about that.
As for the charge, you should always charge your batteries out of box. Rechargeable batteries have a charge memory and they need to be completely charged to full capacity and completely discharged to dead for the first 3 to 5 uses... Otherwise your battery's life may be compromised. Its generally accepted that you should practice this process with each new battery you receive. The manufacturer will usually charge to 30 to 50% capacity to quickly test it, its your job to charge it to 100% once its in your hands.

Give them a charge before you use them. Pvs use Li batteries. You don't need to completely discharge them, in fact it's better not to do that and to recharge them before they are completely discharged. They last longer that way. Li batteries don't have a "memory" and don't need to be completely discharged like other batteries.
Short wicks are normal. Just tilt and roll the juice around every often when using the clearo to keep the wicks wet.

Hi Jennifer, For safety only discharge until it turns green. You can leave them a bit longer, but it is really about a safety precaution not to charge them overnight.
And as I mentioned, you will get better life charging them before they have completely run out.
Here's a post on another thread about that: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...rging-ego-batteries-question.html#post2371060

Many here will tell you not to leave the battery plugged in overnight or unattended to prevent overheating or worse, in case there is an issue with the battery or charger.

wow you got it on ebay? your lucky your paypal account hasn't been deleted. ebay vendors are not allowed to sell vaping products and paypal forbids it as well. you can use paypal (without them knowing) but you cannot mention e-cigarettes anywhere when purchasing/selling. I can't believe that there is a kit on ebay.

Noooooo problemo jeniferc :) I like to help new members and new vaporers. If you have any other questions you can PM me or post them here to this thread and I'd be happy to help further. Have fun! Your going to LOVE vaping, I promise. What made you choose the eGo batteries over the smaller, cigarette style batteries? Most n00bs go with the smaller ones, realize they are too weak, and step up to eGos or Mods. Your starting out right with the eGo kit purchase! great job.

Hahah thanks... :) well i think researching about vaping has been my second job for the last week or so... Every chance i get im on this site or on google trying to learn about it... I wanted to make sure i had a battery that would last all day... Because i think running out of battery would be my downfall.. The reviews on the ego seemed really good ;-) and i went back and forth about different sizes and different things and then saw that setup and just went for it ;-)

haha no you haven't gotten anyone into trouble lol and you wont get into trouble either. I doubt it. but I wouldn't buy the PV's themselves from ebay because you could possibly get into trouble there if the vendor gets caught himself. You can use paypal but you can't TELL paypal that the item you are selling or buying is a vaping PV or atty/carto or batteries for a PV. Just food for thoughts :p
