so i was driving the other day, vaping away on my AA box mod when out of nowhere i see flashing lights behind me. i pull over and the officer says that he saw me holding my cell phone in my hand (illegal in my state). i then proceed to explain to him in a very calm manor that it was not my cellphone and it was an electronic cigarette. im pretty sure i confused the hell out of him but i drove off without a ticket! needless to say, the box mod stays at home now.

has anyone else been in a situation like this???

Never been pulled over for vaping before or ever had my PV mistaken for a cell phone. Are you using a black box mod?

In a related note, I've been asked to leave Walmart for smoking in the store, even after explaining.

its one of the madvapes kits. black 2 AA box, led and big ol switch. he thought the carto looked like an antenna, and the led was the screen. from a distance i guess i could see it too, but ive never seen a cellphone that could make nice tasty clouds of vapor...haha

I can see how a black box mod could be mistaken as a cell phone from a distance.

    An inhailer IS a nebulizer.

"Nebulizers. A nebulizer is a device that administers the drug in a fine spray that the patient breathes in."

I have lived with asthma for 33 years and have never ever called nor heard a rescue inhaler called a nebulizer. We including doctors always called the machine in the link I posted a nebulizer. So if you want to get technical yes an inhaler is a type of nebulizer just not what it is referred as normally.......

    neb·u·lize (nby-lz)
    tr.v. neb·u·lized, neb·u·liz·ing, neb·u·liz·es
    1. To convert (a liquid) to a fine spray; atomize.
    2. To treat with a medicated spray.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now all ya need is medicated cartomizers :p

I told my doctor that I was thinking about going back to smoking since my asthma got worse when I quit smoking and started vaping. He said to just give it time, it will settle down and get better than it was while I was smoking. I have to believe him since he is an ex-smoker that now vapes. He was the one that turned me on to e-cigs

Did you not read my post? I said it is a type of nebulizer just not referred as such. What you posted is referred to as a rescue inhaler in the asthma community so to differentiate the 2.

Well my son had asthma all 13 years of his life, and never left the house without his nebulizer in his pocket. So just maybe you don't speak for the entire asthma community.

    :D HELLO DANWICH!
That you were asked to leave Wal-Mart is ironic.
Walgreen's is one of the few places that you can buy e-cigs (Blu disposables) in a lot of areas.
    As I'm sure you know, Walt-Mart is a Walgreen's super-store!
IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN, CALL CORPORATE, COMPLAIN NICELY BUT LIKE A VERY DISGRUNTLED CUSTOMER, AND THEY'LL BE ALL OVER THE MANAGERS!

    :facepalm::facepalm:

I conceded and agreed that it is a type of nebulizer just not what it is normally referred to in the asthma community. No I don't speak for the hole community but am very active in it since both my daughters have it also. Search nebulizer in any Asthma community and I can pretty much assure you will not get links to an asthma inhaler. You will get links to a nebulizer. Maybe you are the odd one that speaks for the minority :p ;)

You write that as you lost your son If so sorry to hear that. Many don't understand asthma. It is a life threatening disease.

It wasn't that big of a deal. I think my age played a big part in what transpired. It's not like I got lynched by Wal-Mart employees or anything.

I realize that Wal-Mart employees did not attack you (physically) but your rights were taken away without reason.
Wal-Mart is a Walgreen's super store, Walgreens sells Blu disposables.
Corporate would frown upon what happened and be sure not to let it happen again! It is a step for all of our rights!
 My point is that we need to take a stand, or we'll be outside in the cold with the tobacco smokers to vape!
There are lots of small skirmishes and battles to win a war!
    IT IS A WAR!
All of our rights are disappearing, and if we do nothing they will be gone.
